I'd like to get that dedicated load from there. She's already sent me the pick up tank and delivery messages. I'll give her a call today to see if she can switch it up.

It's nice when the worst case scenario is a decent load which gets you home for the weekend. Can't complain either way on this.

After discussing it with my mentor, doing Fountain Inn is best. I've done it before and it's a super easy delivery. With no go home date, there's a very good chance I could catch a Webster run over the weekend. I'll call Greer Friday morning and let them know I'd like to keep working.

See you in Jefferson City. We have the same delivery time and date.

We'll there goes that. Big Red changed it up on me. I now load in El Dorado AR and run to Glen Rose TX. It's all good to me and I'm glad to know I'll be out longer.

Look forward to meeting you. They got lots of racks in there so no need to race each other. LOL

Nice meeting you. I beat you in today. Ha

I'm down in Memphis. Got to start my dat at 0200 tomorrow. There's only a slim chance that I can pick up and deliver the load I've been handed in one day. Of course, IllI try to get it done. Apparently I get my truck and myself inspected and also have to dawn the pickle suit at each location. 600 plus miles, a load and unload going thru tighter then normal security and having to wear the pickle suit in August heat..are they paying me enough? Haha

Ouch. At least you had an easy delivery this morning. They finally got me unloaded after 2.75 hours. Got an easy empty 530 or so miles back to the yard. Probably head back out Sunday. Going to catch the Panther Miami game Friday night.

Sitting at Grace hooked to a side unloader. TO calls for a rear. Logops is waking someone up to verify a side unloader is ok.

It probably is, but I'm not going to be, "that guy," who didn't read the TO and drug the wrong type of tank 250 miles there and another 250 back.

The after hours person for Memphis isn't answering. Logops has me sitting waiting for an answer. I've wasted a few hours of clock. Absolutely no chance to make pickup on time and delivery is out of the question today.

Just after posting the above message, I got a call to roll with the side loader but bring 2 extra hoses. I had to go over to the Memphis terminal as I had already scavenged the 3 I had.

Getting the terminal, find hoses and caps, then head out.

About a mile down the road, another call. Apparently the on call person at Memphis woke up enough to check the notes. I'm sent back to wait on a rear unloaded to be washed at the terminal. The customer would have refused to load the side unloader trailer.

Lesson reinforcement: always read the TO, and when something doesn't jive, make the call so you aren't, " that guy or gal."

Currently I've dropped the other trailer and am waiting on the correct one. No, I'm not upset. Logops thought I'd be upset. He was pleasantly surprised that I laughed at it. Things happen and no matter how good folks are, errors occur. Just roll with it and have a good time.
