Superior actually posted about the Wilmington terminal on FB the other day. It was cool to see they cared.

Waiting to get my first load since Florence. That'll be next Monday or Tuesday.
Heard the new pay raise is 56 loaded and 45 empty across the company starting October 29th. We went from 16 to 20 an hour for delay pay at our terminal. That pay is terminal specific. That all works for me since I do enough system work. -
scythe08, Mortarmaggot and Smut Thank this.

I have a dedicated run up to Lincoln RI Monday, so I'll be here during the roof replacement next weekend. I'm redoing the chimney myself, so I'll do that in-between tear off and installation of the new roof. Love it when things come together. Upgraded to architectural shingles and the Rhino liner underlayment. It'll take a much bigger storm to hurt that. -
Went to load in Aurora. A slow leak from the flange caused loading to stop halfway thru. Offloaded the acid and brought the tank back to Wilmington last night. That load is now rescheduled for next week.
Grabbed a dedicated to GA so I can be home Friday and over the weekend when the rood and ceiling gets done. I load out tomorrow and will be back Thursday night.
The garage door I had ordered before the storm got installed last night. My wife is happy that I had an automatic opener installed. No more, " will you open the garage door," from her in the future. Yeah, I did it for her. You betcha. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.NightWind and PostmanMJC Thank this. -
Hey, I had a His and Her's installed a couple years ago. One of the best home improvements I've ever made. And my bride thanked me for it.
Mortarmaggot Thanks this. -
Roofers showed up as I was about to head out to Wilmington this morning. Glad they are here a few days early, but it caught me off guard. Jeff, our local guy, agreed to load for me. I can show up around 1500 and roll out. That's a big help. I wanted to be closing in on GA by then, but no worries, it'll all work out.
The roofing crew is good and well organized. I went up and pointed out additional sub roofing I wanted replaced and they got right on it. The chimney had more water intrusion than I originally thought, so I had them resheet it. They have cleaned along the way and have been nothing short of professional.
My neighbor is equally impressed with them and asked for an estimate on his own roof.Last edited: Oct 4, 2018

Always feels good when you find a contractor that you can trust to do professional work.
Mortarmaggot Thanks this. -
How'd his boat hold up? I went thru there last week and saw a few boats heavily damaged and a few sunk. -
A rather large motoryacht broke free of its lines and was blown into my brother's boat. Fortunately, it hit the rub rail and other than damage to it, nothing too bad. Don't know the name of the marina, but it's within sight of his marina and doesn't have as much protection. Unfortunately, the boats there got hammered.
Shelter from the Storm.scythe08 Thanks this.
