I have been listening to some of these guys cry on twitter. I wanted to know what everyone thinks of them. They are one of the ones pushing for broker transparency if I understand correctly. Your thoughts?
No idea who they are, but if you know the broker gets $3/mile and he's offering you $1.5/mile how that would change your luck?
It would change nothing in my operation if I knew what they made. I could care less on what they make to be perfectly honest. They need to make money to stay in business just like I do. If I run a poor business and drop out or go bankrupt from taking poor freight it is on me no one else.
Can't stand that broker transparency garbage. The last thing we need is a group of loud mouth idiots asking Uncle Sam to further regulate the most regulated industry in the country. There is 100 unintended consequences for every new law or regulation that comes into being. I no longer support OOIDA because they got on board with this garbage.
I am still ok with OOIDA but only because I use them for other reasons and not for the Lobbying BS. I am 100 Percent with you as well on the other stuff. We need less government involvement in our lives period.
They also want you you boycott multiple brokers. You want a real laugh join their FB group. Hilarious.
Ha ha I had seen something about TQL on them as well. This group is maybe the worst one I have seen so far. I think they are more of a gang then an Association. I do get a kick out of how big and bad they think they are though.
Trade/Owner associations are allot like Unions. In the past they served a very needed purpose but in today's world with literally thousands of lobby groups trying to push Government we end up creating more problems then they solve. Unions like the SEIU have morphed into a Mafia like cancer and trade/owner associations are like their children.
