I sat in Indy from friday night til about 10 am monday morning with no load the 2 loads they sent was even worth it the first load was going 240 miles picking up sunday for monday delivery the other was 220 miles and once i refused that i was informed that their planner said if they send me another ld it would b less miles than that was i sure i didnt want the ld. Come monday morning the send me a ld 113 miles DH 494 LD so i took it only to receive a msg from my FM "Hey driver just wanted to give u a heads up. This customer may b a little pissy b/c j b hunt missed this ld on saturday b/c of trl issues. If they give u attitude just ignore it and go on about ur business. Not that they will but the acct rep just called me and wanted to make us aware. also pls dont b late get there early if at all possible." my response " if i was a satisfied driver of this company then that msg would mean something. they leave u stuck out try to force u in to taking lds then expect u to give a darn about their customer relations cause the way i was feeln i really dont think that customer wanted to hear from me. what kind of trl issues they had in louisville,ky where they have a terminal with all kinds of trls that ld couldnt get picked up on time just shows they dont care about their drivers and care even less about their customers.![]()

TruckNMom, does JobHunt pay layover if you're sitting on a weekend? I read somewhere on this site that they don't. If that's true, then they use weekends to assign the piddling runs to drivers, as if you refused, they'd simply park you without pay for two days as a sort of 'punishment'.

If you don't know by now I'm on a dedicated with JB in my 4th year and was hoping on eventually getting a raise
Well even though most of management say It's a raise, unless you get a perfect weekly dispatch(that means hell has frozen over) It's a pay cut. The fact that they tell me that is like saying I'm an idiot that would believe it. Right now they're messing up my miles putting me on a 50% pay reduction. I talked with my fleet mgr nice and polite and he says he'll look into it but he's not a nose to the grindstone kinda person so I don't know what the outcome will be.
I try to stay positive but this place makes it extremely difficult...... UG
keep on truckin safely
Dave
PS. thanks for giving me a spot to vent this crapola -

And all the bustin butt and favors don't mean anything, they all go by numbers and what's on the computer. I'm guessing favors don't make it to the computer.

Ya'll seriously expect better from JB??????????????????????????

I dont know your situation, so I wont say what I think you should do. I will say, that if that were me, Id ask them where they want the truck parked and who do I leave the keys with. Thats not worth my time away from home. ...and your FM swears on the QC? Thats very professional.
-
Don't leave the keys on the seat and walk away just yet.
I'd first park it at a company terminal. Then I'd clean it out. After that, I'd ask 'em to send somebody from safety or the shop to the truck so we can go over it together, like a driver always should. We'd use one of the checklists either from the back of a logsheet or one the company provides. Finally, I'd take plenty of pictures.
After the truck has been turned in PROPERLY, I'd walk away from this deal. -
your complaining because you sat so long yet you refused 2 loads.
some miles are better than none man. I worked for them and never again will i go back. But you really shouldnt whine because they gave you 2 loads that you did refuse. -
when u buying the fuel u have that right if that load isnt worth it for u to touch it
