Thats why they would have wrote the ticket. You think it would be a good idea for them to leave a loaded truck & trailer on the side of the road & while they got a ride to a truckstop?
    (1) tickets galore now for leaving the unit on the road, towing & impound charges, at the best. And worst would be somebody stealing the load that was now abandoned.
    (2) Loss of job for sure after abandoning the load weather it was towed or not. And if it was towed, who do you think would be paying for the tow & storage charges?
    (3) This I agree with.
I don't know you well enough to even guess if you are or not?:biggrin_25525::biggrin_25519: Every State & City are hurting for cash & one of the main collectors of the cash is the Police. The OP even said he got a ticket for speeding when he swears up & down that he wasn't speeding. And even if he was even just a wee bit why didn't he get a break on that? And a warning ticket is NOT a break now a days, because you can't get it off your record. After all there were more tickets he wrote. I didn't say "ALL" of them either. Just going with the odds & how I've seen things happen.:biggrin_25519:

You can imagine all you want but that doesn't change anything. Why would you get an escort? Nothing broken & truck is drivable.

I'm on a salt free diet, sorry. :biggrin_2559:Just kiddin. The amount (number) of tickets they write and the dollar amount changes GREATLY between a 4 wheeler ticket and a 18 wheeler ticket. IF you were an OTR driver you would know what I'm talking about.

Lots of drivers dont want to hear this. But its going to get worse, with the CSA 2010, If you screw up, Its up to you to fix it. These rules and Laws are going to change back and forth, Till the gubment tries to fine tune it. Rerun Is very knowlegable with the Rules of Trucking. If we did not have a guy like Rerun to show the facts with the new laws in place, we would not learn. There are a few others on this board that are as good as Rerun, and We need them also.

If you screw up out there and need to vent, thats fine, but dont expect every driver to Give you cookies and milk. If you screw up out there and get caught, thats your problem. Plain and simple, you got caught. You will work things out, takes time. I think Rerun does a great job by the info. he has. Live and learn.

It does matter where you sign on to. This outfit can be rated the best in the world by any number of their drivers, but the two alerts tell the story. If you have a good CSA rating, you don't want to drive for an outfit with this kind of CSA rating.
