Will driving with one hand on wheel and one hand on shifter during your test out is not wise. Now take it you can do that when you solo but NOT ADVISED!!!!! Didn't your trainer tell you not to do that during test out? Will the reason they let you go, you failed to test out. Sorry it happened like that good luck to you. Be careful driving that PETE CAR you will love it. -
Holy crap Edmund! I did not know that the final eval is so #### strict with almost no margin for error! As you have described it, it almost sounds as if the decision was made before the key was turned and they were looking for a reason to justify it by calling you out on the hand on the shifter deal. And no 2nd chance to retest? I would think that if it was all about bad technique, that they would give you a chance to polish up on things like proper signals, double clutching, proper steering wheel control, or whatever it was they had an issue with.
Whole lot different then saying "hey you blew through that red light, or you were texting and driving, or you cant shift to save your life, maybe trucking isnt for you".
But to disqualify you because you didnt have both hands on the wheel is just a raw deal. But i am glad that you were able to land on your feet. Wish you luck and good numbers. -
