Finally home for some good time off. Was a great month and half run. Truck ran great ran a lot of miles. Made it through the lay offs, very sad to hear some of friends got laid off. Was at yard last night saw the new VOLVOS got 2 stories about but won't say what I believe until I see it. All I know is that we bought 50 new ones. Can't wait until my train the trainer class looking forward in becoming a trainer.

A few more questions. Is wifi available in the dorm?
What is the passenger policy at FFE.
I have a lot of experience with different trailers on a pickup. Will that help or hurt me in this training, I know the basics are the same but how different is it.

    1) 13 and older. Must be DIRECT family members. no cousins, aunts, uncles, bro in laws etc. Must sign release forms before they get into the truck

    2) Wifi is available in the dorms, at the hotel, and at the lancaster yard driver's room.

    rxhorn Thanks this.

(RTTNews) - Frozen Food Express Industries, Inc. (FFEX) said that, to better align the company's back office cost structure with the previously announced reduction of dry-freight revenue equipment, non-driver staffing levels will be reduced by approximately 12%.

In connection with these actions, which are expected to be completed by year-end, Frozen Food Express expects to incur a cash compensation charge of around $0.4 million during the fourth quarter of 2011, and realize annualized cost savings of approximately $5.0 million.

The company also announced that the progress on the sale of certain assets related to its dry-freight operations were ahead of plan. Per the previously announced agreement with Celadon Trucking Services, Inc., sales to various vendors, and replacement of 240 of its oldest tractors for new equipment, the company expects to receive approximately $21.9 million in free cash flow, net of related expenditures, during the fourth quarter of 2011 and January of 2012. The $21.9 million in proceeds will be utilized, as received through January of 2012, to reduce bank debt.

Additionally, the company will incur future lease obligations for the 240 replacement tractors of approximately $20.2 million during the fourth quarter.

I am also strapped but to be honest with you, atleast there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I've looked at a lot of different options and FFE starts putting money in your pocket faster than most. You could take a private refresher but that is extreamly expensive and a lot of companies will still make you go through thier training. Most others will also deduct the cost from your paycheck. FFE looks best for my situation but I'm not qualified to speak to yours. Just telling you why I chose them.
