    hey playmaker i am going to be starting ffe on may 30th just wondering when do you take your dot physical and what is the cost or is it taken care of by ffe also do they have any exercise facilities at the dorm and on that subject what is the dorm like thanks glenw

    It is taken on the first day of orientation with no cot to you.Then after that is completed they do an interview with you.Basically going back over your paperwork.This is were they check to see if you have given any misleading information.

    First day of orientation you will take physical on Monday the first day. I didn't have to pay since I went to the Academy.

    Well, today was my first day # the new FFE Academy. At first sight it is a cool place. The campus is clean, the offices look professional, and the instructors are cool so far. The greeting speech was given by Mark Rhea, a nice guy with a good presence, and a good attitude about his academy and its direction. The first day was kind of exhausting due to the fact that most of us 15 or so students got there the afternoon before after a tortuous ride with greyhound. And it was. And we found out about our "homework" when we got there that entailed almost 150+ questions.! Due the next morning. My roomate"Spatt" and I forced ourselves to study until the late hours. Gotta study some more so I will add more later. More studying.

    Still going great out here on the road with FFE. This week will try to turn 3100 might get close. All in all no problems. Great people great miles no complaints as of yet.

    Good info with everything I've read from your posts and I'm glad to hear it's going well. I will be starting the academy the week of 6/20, kinda jumping back into trucking after 3yrs off. Since I've only really driven flatbed is it difficult getting unloaded at docks?, how is e-logging and is it difficult to slide a tandem? Otherwise the academy I have no problem in completing. Appreciate any and all assistance
