The New FFE Driver Academey

Hey guys so it's been awhile haven't had any wifi around to try and post. I'm back in Lancaster though, trainer decided to take a breather so they dropped me off at motel today. Not really sure what they plan on doing with me now but I guess I'll find that out tomorrow.
(no it's not because of me). Guy is going through rough family stuff and I commend him for what he is doing. On another note though it feels great to back behind the wheel again and looking forward to running again when training is complete. Catch you all later.

 

You'll do great lionheart. They are excellent instructors there at the academy. Dont sweet it and just work hard and it will all be worth it when u are smiling like a fool, like spat did, when u get your hands on the steering wheel of your first truck solo. Just don't do like he did and drive around the terminal screaming "in a truck driver" out the window. That was just un professional. Lol(that's for the cracks about my truck though the stormtrooper/wheelbarrow reference was funny as hell)

 

Good to hear jellybean. Will be back there probably Saturday so maybe I will catch ya there. Just look for a guy wearing Alabama jersey and hat with his head in a laptop and say hay. I'll by ya a drink.

Well I'm sure I'll catch you guys around terminal. I wear glasses and have a lot of gray hair already if you see me. In my early thirties so it kind of sticks out lol

 

Just wanted to say hi guys and girls. Got my confirmation today for the academy starting Monday. This thread pretty much helped me dump swift where I was already scheduled to train. I am looking forward to working with you all! I was amazed that I applied Monday and approved Wed. Which was much faster than my process with swift. 3

 

Does FFE want you to get a cdl permit before you show up?

 

no you take care of that at the dmv here in dallas. you will actually get a dallas license(address of the school) that you transfer to your home state

Nope, just show up with some cash, clothes and plenty of sleep. Download the dps manual and read it cover to cover a few times before you get there and you will do fine.
