My student is already running the truck as if he was solo. Just needs to work alittle more on the PEOPLENET. I taught him how to float gears and he is doing a great job at it. His backing is good very passable for the evaluation for solo out.
As for me, I am enjoying training very much. The rewards of seeing a student progress is great. It's a little stressful at times but we get through it. This weeks miles are or let's say should be good if weather will hold out, miles should be around 5000. We are now going from Greely, CO to New Jersey, 1850 paid miles not bad. For those on the road be safe and for those at the academy good luck and stay in the books and keep a great attitude. -
Passed the road eval this morning, only a few obsticals left for the weekend. Only lost one from the class to road eval. This has been really intense but very worth while. Hope to see you alln the road soon

Well I'm back at the hotel this weekend. My training experience has been somewhat of a nightmare and hassle. Trecia pulled me off trainer truck to stick me with a local guy till I upgrade next week around the 16th.
Only thing is there still having issues with having trucks available and I was under the impression I could still drive with trainer till one became available and was told that I could not do this now. So little upset about this because I don't want to be sitting around terminal not getting paid. Plus, if I do decide to go home and wait I've heard it from the horses mouth that if a student is upgrading and they have a truck available then they will get the truck over the ones that have been waiting back home which is pretty crappy.
Guess I'll have to see when it comes down to crunch time. This has just been my experience and not all have had to go through what I have but guess its just luck of the draw. Hope everything goes well for all you guys and be safe out there. -
BTW Jelly we were told this afternoon that there are 300 new volvos waiting for drivers. If that is true you should get a truck quickly. No way for me to know if that is true or not, came from one of the instructers. -
