You will get paid 455 per week AFTER you complete orentation. That is when your hired, remember you are not a employee until HR says so.

Here's an email I received from my brother..

"Its $455.00 a week auto deposited every Thursday for 6 weeks. Than I'll get my truck and receieve the 29 cents a mile. They gave us Comcast cash advance cards that we can draw $75.00 twice a week on if need be. It will be deducted from our checks if we use them."

Spat..how often you get into Florida besides home time?

Swamprat, when I was running LTL out of dundee I was home every weekend. However I went back to truckload national, so I only get to FL when I ask. Im heading up to to SF then back to dallas. I'm asking for home time so we will see how long it takes.

I went to this company because of the Three Musketeers, Playmaker, Tigger, and Spat. This has been a great experience. The instructors are the best. They are very intense, focused, and smart. Everyone who has left during the class had their own problems. The focus has been on making everyone succeed. Safety and skill is what this academy is about. If you bring your own bad baggage, it is on you, not the school. Even with experience, you must relearn the FFE way. It is focused on Safety and Skills. The possitive encouragement has made me feel great. Come in here and just follow the program. Be a team player, and you will feel like me. This is GREAT!

THE PLAYMAKER and rednecktigger Thank this.

To GearUP----Sounds like you served your kids proudly and your son carried that to the Marines...he gave up his life defending freedom.....for us all to be able to choose to truck or not(or anything else). God Bless those who served and Thank You!

OK.....here is my story and I am sticking to it.
    See if I should continue.....
    51 years old
Went to a school and passed in 2009
Had a great instructor who was very informative and patient. Had me drive most of the time and had me stop at any evidence of being tired(have driven 9 hour shifts before).
Drove mostly mid west Green Bay to Miss. sometimes in Ohio and couple trips to Dallas/Ft Worth/WACO in spring time. Mostly loaded 44000 lbs +.
Weekly student evaluations were good and stated I would be a good driver(with time during training period).

    BUT......
Trainer diabetic but not insulin dependent....and injected himself with an unknown substance at least three times per day.
OTR veteran for many years.....so I felt safe when he ate and drove with his elbows......
Consistently telling me that I should be home......because I will never make money on road. Encouraged me to "doctor" my logs(he did it during training) so that I did more hours than written logs showed.
Disposition was mostly self-serving but nice.......THEN he blew up at me for no reason and I was the cause of everything from WWII to the advent of disco.
I believe this was medical related because there was no reason and his disposition was fine otherwise.
I was on truck for 3 weeks and got paid for two because he was always going hometime and doctor appointments(seven day rule).
So I while still on truck...was offered another job that now has dissipated to nothing.
    NOW-----
    Wanting to return to road
Treated for high blood pressure but was able to get a two year DOT card.
    BMI about 35
Working minimum wage now due to live in a limited job market.
Had heart cath in June due to chest pains but cath showed no problems except hypertension. BP is now about 142/90 regularly with medication
Treated for sleep apnea for 10+ years and been compliant every time I sleep.
I have read this thread since the beginning(all 159 pages) and love what I hear except for those being sent home after 3 weeks or testing out for no reason given. By the time three weeks go by, your previous employer has written you off and you have wasted time to find another job. It would be the same if you left your previous job and did not get paid for two weeks although.
I don't like burning bridges and if this did not work out I would be "way behind".
(man this guy takes a long time to say what he wants):biggrin_25510:LOL!
Thanks to all who have posted. I enjoyed reading them

Note.....the school or trainer was NOT FFE
    I have my state permit
Have written report of Cath study
Had hip replaced in 2004 but have written DR permission to drive truck without limitation
Have sleep study results with VPAP settings written.
Have no instances of falling asleep or getting tired abnormally.
