Well lets see. Sitting in Ft. Pierce at the moment. Not really sure what to say lol. I was given a load that went from Macon, Ga on Friday to deliver on Monday in W. Palm Beach. Guess can't complain to much its a load but thinking should of just stayed home till Monday /shrug. Not sure I care much about the DM called him Thurs. to let him know I'll be coming out Friday so they could plan me out of Florida and just tells me to send an Avail msg.

Wrote up a email on peoplenet about the problems I'm having with the truck so I could get headed toward Lancaster or to International dealer. He only responds with nothing goes to Tx from FL (which is a total lie) but anyway.

I don't think its the company think its my DM so far thats not really working for me. Any suggestions from you others? I've never before worked somewhere where I didn't call in a few days to get something planned for when I did come off home time because I live in Fl. Just made things easier.
I feel I'm getting totally ignored on the truck issues totally. Wouldn't really care except that I know were getting pulled in by DOT in places. This truck wont pass a static brake test. I can't find it or hear it but it leaks air somewhere and everytime I have to build air pressure back up. Engine warning light is on but have no clue what for, gauges all stay fine but its annoying but biggest thing is the opti idle stuff. Thermostat or something isn't working right. Thing just runs and runs or actually works its like hit or miss. But lots of times I'll have to shut it off and restart to get it to reset and it will work again for awhile. I've yet to have a full night without having to restart it.

I don't want to seem like a nag but just want it fixed. Lot of students from my class are quitting. Most of us all got 09's that were "rescued". One girl said her's literally smelled like ####, another guy had roaches all in his.

Spent 2 days of my time off to clean mine out which kinda sucks because shouldn't have to in my opinion. /shrug:biggrin_25510:

Well I'll be looking for something to do for my New Year Eve at the Flying J
    Happy New Year all.

-and No, Spat I didn't park at the Target. I parked it at my house. I'm further down Spring Hill Dr past Mariner heading toward 19.:biggrin_25525:

hay jelly who is your dm? remeber the rookie dm's SUCK but you only have them for around 2 months. if you ever have a question just call and we can help ya out. with regards to the truck, unfortunatly they can only give what they have. yea they don't clean them worth a crap. but they should be getting rid of the 09's so u should get a new one soon. its one of those thing where you just bite your tongue and roll and they will take care of ya. hell mine was a #### box from the day i got it to the day i gave them the keys back to get my new truck. btw if you have louis i understand, he was mine, only call in IF YOUR NEED TO, like the truck is on fire or something. other then that message them.

    Jellybeanz Thanks this.

Yeah its kinda what I'm figuring. Thanks Tigger I really just want to run some miles and make a paycheck. Been out here done this before so I was pretty much able to get the feeling from Louis "don't call" lol. Heck, wouldn't talk to me first day I met him because it was after 4 o'clock and he was leaving /shrug

You guys have a good new year and I'll see ya in lancaster sometime soon. Keep on rollin'

Actually was sitting here thinking about it. Are all my loads going to have such ridiculous amounts of time to deliver? Everyone I've gotten I could literally deliver in like 2 days and not even running 11hrs but I have 3 or more days before delivery.

Is it just like this because I'm on the rookie board or just way they plan trips. I never can figure out what to do with all the time. This load I have now doesnt deliver to Monday @ 10:45am at Costco and I'm kinda guessing it works like the Wal Mart D/C's where you can't get in until an hour before appt time? Got the load assignment Friday coming off home time. Drove to Macon, Ga to pickup the load and tonight I'm sitting 50miles from delivery hehe. Didn't really know what else to do.

well you did it right. with one exception, if you can get there early you can try calling them and asking if you can deliver early. the worst they can say is no. and if they say no and you have a day or two left on the load see if you can eather drop the load or swap with someone near you needs a load they can sit on to get hours back. and yes they give you an abundance of time on your first couple of runs so you can get used to it. they are just feeling you out,

Um....the roach issue was the truck I brought back from dundee. Oh wait, thats your truck. Lol Its ok I threw 2 raid bombs in it, they should all be dead.

As for your dm. I had him, and talked to him 3 times, never met him. Run everything as efficent as you can. They are just testing you, giving the load plenty of time just in case you need to be rescued. Grin and bear it for a few weeks and prove yourself. The runs get longer and tighter.

As for the brake issue, and heat. Call roadservice, if they give you crap call paul in safety. Tell him we sent you.

yea jelly if they will not fix it. do what i did with my old one. pull it to the yard and tell them EVERYTHING that needs to be fixed. and when they don't fix it all(and they won't with an old trouble truck) fill out anouther form for the problems not fixed, especialy if it is illigal to run it like it is, and let louis know it is going back in the shop for saftey reasons and let saftey know at the same time. if you have a complaint aobut your fleet manager that you voice over peoplenet remeber to send it as a personal email or he will see it(learned that the hard way). and if you got questions about any repair stuff feel free to get a hold of me, spend 32 days in the shop with my truck in a 2 month period. now i in a 2012 volvo.

Beans the time on the loads as SPAT and TIGGER said their giving you loads so you won't be late, Now with that said think about what time of the year it is. Around the holidays there a lot of loads that have a lot of time on them due to the work schedules of the shippers and receivers for the holidays. As for your truck issues TIGGER is the expert on that. But if you don't feel safe, take it back to yard right up everything make a copy of it so when they said they fixed it you have a paper trail that you can take to safety. And if that don't work call VP Mark Rhea and tell him your from the academy and tell him what's going on.
