The Maxxforce 13 is a twin turbo 13 liter, max torque "1700fp" is put at out at 1000 rpms. Its also 500 pounds lighter than the isx15 with no def.
I love it, smoooooth, quiet and likes to lug up the hills in 10th.
Playmaker, I did get the one piece. However these have a inspection cap so I can check the seals.

lol. havent had a chance to login and post in a while. winding down on a 6 week tour. reading jellybeanz post, all i can say is i feel your pain! at least i can take some comfort in knowing that i was not the only one experiencing the frustrations. I got an 09 which i actually like to run in. Its got its opti idle issues, which can be a pain in the neck trying to keep the cab warm when in the bunk. other then that, it runs well on the road and is light weight, the tanks are up front so adjusting the axle weights is a breeze. i haul loads with 44000 pounds with no problem.
The advise offered here makes sense. gonna prove myself on the rookie board, then hopefully better runs will make themselves available. i like my century class, when time comes to turn it in, i hope i get another. give the new trucks to the crybabys, lol! -
Crybabies? WOW, so SPAT and TIGGER and I since we have new trucks are crybabies? No I think we have proved ourselves. It kills me to here people complain about getting a 09. When the 3 of us got hired all they giving out was 07s, excluding SPAT. -
i didn't had an 09. but i did ##### about my truck but it was having more then just icon problems.
-
look, if you paid your dues, then sure, you should get a new truck. no problem with that. but for a greenhorn(like myself) to cry to Sam about the age of their truck, and 9 times out of 10, get re=assigned, is just funny to me.
besides who the hell wants a new truck and all the problems they come with? i would rather have a truck that has had some miles put on it so that all the kinks have been worked out. but thats just me. Give me an older truck, so long as it runs well and isnt a POS and im happy.
i'd rather be going down the road in an older truck, then broke down on the side of the road in a new truck.
On a side note, it was cool to run into a friend from the academy in of all places Battle Creek MI Pilot. Little run ins with old friends do brighten he day and can make you forget that you are out here alone. -
Beanz has a crap truck, way worse than tigers first prostar.
-
that is bad. my prostar sucked
-
i may actually have to leave my house tomorrow. but i don't want to go back to the road. 6 days off for 8 weeks out
-
I'm ready. Pulling out in the morning, 2 days is enough. Off to Miami for a cup of cafe con leche.

Hey guys, Im here at FFE!!! My flight was scary as hell (coming out of Grand Rapids, MI), ice and other crazy stuff, got lost in the DFW airport, had a fearless(crazy) Jamaican taxi cab driver, but I am finally on my couch/bed at the Country Inn and Suites and trying to cram for class tomorrow morning! My new adventure starts at 6am tomorrow, and I hope to meet a couple of you guys around school or out on the road. Once again, appreciate the stories and advise, keep safe out there!
