The New FFE Driver Academey

Some classroom every day, first 3 days are all classroom. 4-5 days going backwards, then you go out driving around Dallas and Ft worth. You will then be road tested and if you pass that they will take you to DPS(dmv) and let you test.

Then off to the not so Grande Hotel for orentation. Then out with a trainer for 6 weeks. After that you will be tested again.

If you pass the final test you will be given..
A) Brand new truck/newer truck/ older clean truck(me, Playmaker)
B) Old crappy truck (tigger, treyzguy-quit)
C) Bus ticket home to wait for a truck( then a,b,d,e)
D) Bus ticket to go get a truck somewhere in the country that needs a driver
E) Deliver a brand new truck to a driver at a ltl terminal and given thier old dirty truck(jelly beanz)

You can be a perfect driver, model employee and get b or c
When the smelly, unkept ,imitation crab meat eating, drooling goober gets A

Its all random when it comes to what you get to drive but it gets sorted out with time.Whatever you do...dont complain about the truck they give you, just get out and run...prove to them that you are not a moron. They only exception is a unsafe truck

If ANYONE at the academy says you are getting a new truck, dont believe them. However you do have a 20% chance of getting one.

Its tough, bring your A game, listen, dont be a smart ###, and give respect to the instructors.

Hello Playmaker....I will be going to the academy on the 30th.....Can you tell me what I can expect when I get there and during my training there.....And how do they conduct the physical

Just arrived at the hotel. My roommate and I are reading the student catalog and working on the homework assignment now. I'll try to post an update at least once a day on how things are going.

Oh yeah forgot to add the bus ride was an interesting experience that's for sure.
