As far as their cutting people, that isn't even close to true. We had a guy who couldn't shift without grinding and they passed him through the course. When we got to Lancaster they cut him there with the option he could go back to Pine Bluff on his own money.
-
in my class they passed people who shouldn't have been drivin and what happened most of those people did not last long at all the guy buddy was pretty knowledgeable and Brenda and Connie were not bad as long as you did it their way if they didn't like you they made life suck
-
Brenda and Connie were gotten rid of a couple of months before I went for training. The best guy we had was a black guy Melvin, Martin, or something like that. He taught how to shift smoothly and know the rpms then know the sounds. Everyone else just basically rode along and told you how bad you were doing but not how to improve it.

This is the new Academey here in Ft.Worth. I have driven for 2 other companies and have some experience (2 years). All the instructors here are very professional. Where else can you go they put you up in a Dorm right next to the school. The dorm has a computer lab brand new rooms, free washer and dryers. They have 9 professional instructors. There not a puppy meal for putting out drivers they weed out the ones that cant pass evaluations. And all you have to do is stay here 1 year. They take nothing out of your check NOTHING!!! they don't want just anyone that can fog a mirror. so I dont know where you went but this is a very professional school. -
The prior school was in Pine Bluff, AR. I wish you luck, I know my first 6 months I was ran very well, but they wouldn't fix my truck (3 yrs old) and I kept having to call road service. Scanned all my paperwork in a timely manner (usually a few hours after delivery max). then at 6 months suddenly they "weren't getting my paperwork", "lost receipts from work", etc... Spent a night in the dead of winter brokedown and had to stay with the truck below freezing temps at the time.
Maybe they have turned their game around, but cover your arse with them.AfterShock Thanks this. -
FFE weeds out the individuals that complain about loads, pay, and any other issues with the company. There is good and bad with every organization! For the people that complain about FFE be thankful that you have a position and are getting paid.
Rattlebunny, BJnobear, fancypants and 6 others Thank this. -
I can appreciate that FFE has improved their training facility, but I still question the ethics of the company. I did find it funny that when I stopped and told them a load wouldn't be delivered until my pay got fixed they found alot of receipts as well as other paperwork.
Maybe they have changed their ways, and I hope that is so. I wish all those who are trying the career all the luck in the world, just warn them to watch for BS.AfterShock Thanks this. -
Chicagodriver, Rattlebunny, Roadrunnr and 3 others Thank this.

If you are looking for a solid organization to begin, restart, change companies FFE is at the top. One thing to consider is this "FFE is a completely debt free company." I do not know of to many companies that can say that.
Good luck!!sydsdriver, I am medicineman, parkerr58 and 2 others Thank this.
