finally upgraded off the noob board. traded in my AEL century for a '13 cascadia. Kinda sad to see it go. it was a POS,but it was MY POS and it only let me down once when the starter died.

Skinnerz I will be changing my class date to 6/11. I believe you also changed your start date did they give you a hard time about changing your start date? I have been waiting so long to do this I don't want a problem over having to start 1 week later.

Thanks skinnerz I am going to let my recruter (Kathy Harvey) know on tuesday that I need to change the date. I also will be spending quality time with my wife. I believe it will be mid August before I see her again after completeing time with my trainer. It will be good to have someone there that I have at least talked to before arriving.

anytime you make a commitment to a company driving school you will have problems. What are you going to do when they dont give you hometime or miles.your family cant eat hopefully next week.C.R.England is now taking away company trucks and forcing new drivers to get a lease truck or leave. They will have to pay back the driving school.
-
I have done months of online research and been to company websites and talked to recruters and drivers from the companies I considered and I believe I have have made the right choice . If I run into the situations you mentioned then I will deal with it then.C.R. England is not one of the companies I had considered going to.

Hey guys, quick question.
I'm on the bus enroute to Texas, finnaly, but I had something I forgot to ask my recruiter.
I know I hail a cab and go to country inns and suites, but when I get there, what happens?
Do I say I'm with FFE or what? -
Cabwrecker, just go into the hotel and tell David or whoever is working the front desk that you are there with FFE and he will check you in and give you the FFE welcome packet. Then you go up to your room and if you haven't already completed the homework, try to finish it, study, sleep, whatever. There's a great Mexican restaurant right next door if you haven't eaten, they close at 9 or 9:30
Breakfast at the hotel starts at 6am and the shuttle to the school is at 6:15 and 6:30, I'd suggest a 5am or 5:30am wake up call. -
Thanks man. Lol the internet on this bus is shamlesly slow. Looking forward to ft.worth!

Enjoy it, I got there last Sunday and had to leave Tuesday because my recruiter had told me my license suspension in 1997 wouldn't be an issue, even though I didn't get everything restored until 2011. Turned out to be an issue, FFE doesn't allow more than a 90 day suspension in the last 3 years. They told me I could come back when I was eligible, but I'm not waiting 2 years to get my CDL. I'm going to go to a private school here in NC and get them, I start Tuesday.
I can't fault FFE at all in that, it was 1 recruiter's mistake and I left on good terms. Mr. Peace, who you will meet the first day of class, told me he would be more than happy to have me drive for them when my 2 years were up. Pay attention to Keven, he's a great instructor and will have you ready for your CDL permit exam by Thursday. I finished the classroom exam on Tuesday before I left and got 100% on it, I checked it against the Homework.
Good Luck to you cab, you made a good choice, it really is a great school.
