The New FFE Driver Academey

I have done months of online research and been to company websites and talked to recruters and drivers from the companies I considered and I believe I have have made the right choice . If I run into the situations you mentioned then I will deal with it then.C.R. England is not one of the companies I had considered going to.

Well, Im packed and ready to roll on my bus at 4 today and be in ft. Worth around 2 Sunday. Wow can't believe it's tie already m.d. I cried when I left my job, not really my work I am going to miss, the fellow coworkers and my regular customers. I been reading my cld book even more...its all i been absorbing these past few weeks and i been passing the practice exams no problem
.As previously posted I am ready for "boot camp" I love a challenge. Now now not looking forward to this 22 he hour bus ride. Safe trip everyone. Back to more repacking

 

Hello. This is my first post. I am reading the thread from about January 2012 onwards and I have a few questions. Actually, I have many, but I will start slowly.
1. Do trainees stay in a hotel or the dorms at the school? I am reading contradictory information, and the www.driveffe.com website shows they have dorms.
2. Why do company drivers have to pay for scales? Are they reimbursed?
3. I live in Georgia. Is there anything I can do here before I go to Texas, like getting the DOT physical or studying?
4. I applied last week at the driveffe website and I have not heard anything. How long does it take to receive a response from a recruiter?
5. Will the school mail the training materials to you so you can start studying as soon as you are approved to attend the school?

Well we had advanced backing evaluations today, did well, glad I came here because 2 days ago; I'd never driven a semi before, today I can parallel park one. Anyone getting ready to come down here, make sure your attitude is good.

 

thanks for the play by play at the academy, will be headed that way in a week, excited but nervous an I hope the instructors have a sense of humor cuz i tend make jokes when I nervous. never driven one either, worked on em back in the late 80's an moved trailers using a shag truck but reading the posts on here these things are a whole different animal so the attitude will be to work with these folks an learn how to do this an do it right. I still tryin to figure out though why anyone would want to parallel park a semi...heck I had a hard time parallel parking a 4 wheeler back in drivers ed...anyway best of luck to ya an be safe...

 

Well guys I am now on the last bus(thank god) heading to ft worth from Dallas. So ready to hit the shower and bed and be ready for tomorrow. can't wair to meet my classmates. Met one already on my bus. Lol our bus had a total of 5 sesoned drivers on it that helped me review. Then there was 4 other students going to other companies. Lol the trucker gang stuck together everywhere

 

should of said that you were in town! i would have picked you up and personally chauffered you to the hotel, myself ; ) i always said ffe hires the best looking female drivers! welcome to dfw and the ffe academy.
