Here is what the documentation that my recruiter sent says about the hotel:
- If traveling by bus, students will be going to the Downtown Fort Worth, TX bus stop and will be responsible for calling the cab company to get a ride to the hotel. Please be sure to get a receipt. You will be reimbursed on your 1[SUP]st[/SUP] paycheck. You will NOT be reimbursed if you do not get a receipt. If you are commuting, please go straight to the hotel. All new students will be staying at the Country Inn and Suites, 2200 Mercado Dr, Ft. Worth, TX, 76102 - 817-831-9200. Yellow Cab: 214-426-6262 or 817-534-5555

I knew about the Country Inn and Suites, but this is the first I've heard about dorms. I wonder if I could pay extra to stay in the hotel the whole time. Anyway, look me up Roadrunner. I'll be wearing a tan ballcap that says "Hopkins Propane" on it.

Just be informed,
that 1 year commitment is firm.
Leave after 364 days,
you will still
owe the full tuition....Everett Thanks this. -
i think if i go there i rather spend my own money and get my choice of room at motel, i see no difference anyway, if you show up for class on time, what you do before or after class is your own time anyway, then i'll buy a old junker , because i can drive and fix anything anyway , and i sorta know the area anyway as i used too deliver there, but if i have too stay in the dorm so be it.

It's only three weeks, besides your are going to be in class until 5 or 6pm. Then eat, study, sleep, rinse and repeat. Don't see much time for anything else.
Everett Thanks this. -

You are making way too much of this. The time in this school flies by. You certainly dont have time to go rent practice time somewhere. Everything you need to succeed is provided for you. Just show up, do what is asked of you, and learn. No tricks, no special deals, nothing. The whole program is designed to make you succeed. Everyone who gets creative, trys to show off, talks of their vast prior experience, gets cut. No one cares if you have driven before. They only care about what you do now. Start over and enjoy. I am sitting in a truck stop in Little Rock, waiting for everyone to open tomorrow. I had prior experience, but went to school as a newbee. It worked great for me, and I still love my job.
Rick_C, Big_Trill, THE ROAD VIRUS and 2 others Thank this. -
In My opinion No school is going to train you to be a safe driver like a company that knows you will be driving there trucks for the next year. FFE is going to know you are safe when you come back after 6 weeks and take another driving evaluation before giving you your own truck. They will pay you $455 a week until you reach that point.
FREEZERGEEZER Thanks this.
