How long do you have to drive with the trainers before they let you ride solo and how long is the contract. What are the requirements you have to join and where is the school at. The only reason I wanna go with ffe is cause its in texas and not to far from family

prime 58 mph--- ffe company 62--- my truck runs 72----- I don't know how those guys stay awake going that slow --- a good day in a prime truck is 500 miles --- I get 700 easy in a full shift -- and prime makes you team drive for 6 months and forces you into a lease that isn't as good as the ffe lease ---

I am in the 8th month on my lease and its working out real good making close to double compared to when I drove company truck averaging around $1500 a week when I was out all week , actually have another driver in it now full time and I am just going to team with him every once in awhile until October 15th when he is getting his own truck and I will go back driving full time . theres a lot more freedom of choice that comes with the lease ,but you also have that payment to make every week . I have another business in ohio during the summer that's why I have another driver in it now . I kind of made my own job up the past couple of months I call it part time otr ohio regional lol . I needed to be home Monday wens and Friday eves for my other business and I also was in a golf league on Tuesday nights , my original goal was just to keep the truck cash positive but I actually came out about 500 a week ahead , I missed 2 days of my evening job and 3 golf nights in 2 and a half months I did that . you have to learn the system and make it work for you. but also for the last year I have done any favor that was asked of me allways on time also without any drama. I basically worked with 2 planners so that helped and a lot of my home time were just drive bys and just took my 10hr and left out but it worked . some drivers just don't take the time to learn the system , theres a lot of other opportunity with this company most of the drivers don't know about the bulletin board up in the recruiting department that has all the dedicated and other jobs on it , some they only take company trucks on but some are good for o/ops living the good life huh cabwrecker --- why prime ?

if you have a good record and if your personal finances are not too bad they will lease you a truck after 6 months with the company its 714 I think per week for everything that are fixed cost plus .07 per mile for maintenance account .my profit per week is around 48 cents a mile but that varies . sometimes 15 cents sometimes close to 80 cents fuel is the biggest cost and mileage varies depending on weight of the load , wind and terrain and idle time and i run around the speed limit and at 72 I lose a half a mile to a gallon but the extra miles driven covers the extra cost as long as fuel is under 4.50 a gallon ( I have done the math several times) my fuel mileage is around 6.5 which is close to company trucks and I drive an extra 100 miles per full shift which brings in an extra $144 in revenue , plus the extra miles brings down the cost per mile. but there are quite a few drivers that barely stay cash positive and end up making less than a company driver and end up turning there trucks in early . the best way to make money is hire an extra driver and drive team or partner up with somebody $100,000 net each per year isn't that hard to do or pay somebody 50,000 and pocket 150000 . well I am happy solo lol but that's a option . I get mad at this company all the time and you will too im sure but overall I am really happy here and not planning on going anywhere

My own concern is I won't make money I mean I wanna run miles and get some good pay and having to owe a arm and a leg with them and get screwed over what areas have you run lately and what kind of trucks they have for lease
