I am having a hard time with trainers paying trainees. I think that's a horrible way to do it.
As an example when I have a brand new trainee that has never driven before my first week with them is very slow. I take my time and spend lots of time working on basics and getting them comfortable. My first week take home is usually $400 to $600. Second week is a little better.
If I am now paying a trainee $200 a week that will really push me to speed up the process and I think it could be detrimental to the trainee.

Yea I don't see how the trainer paying the trainee out of pocket is gonna work...not sure the ffe trainers gonna go for that lol

that will hurt the training program as far as o/ops , but I think overall this kllm merger will be good for both companies. Did anyone hear what they plan to do as far as trucks go ---- come up with a new color and name or just run ffe tractors and kllm tractors and pull both trailers. or just have the new incoming tractors all kllm . I need a new dm but would hate to get one I like and have kllm can him/her -- I miss ernie lol -- I have a driver in the truck for a few weeks and just run team on the weekends , was hoping to run team full time this fall till I couldn't stand it anymore lol but looks like my driver wants to stay home more and is either going to try northeast regional for awhile or just get on with a local company. not sure if I want to hire somebody new or just run solo for awhile . team pays a lot better and 7000 miles a week can be easily done and the fixed truck cost only goes up $189 a week . we ran 3200 miles from Friday 11 pm till Monday at noon lol -- don't stop much lol everything is drop and hook --- if you run they will run you -- just going to play it by ear and see what happens

So the remodel of the lancaster yard started today....they moved the driver lounge to the pplnet building lol

I think they should have fixed the phone system first.
-
LOL, but what's wrong with the phone system?
-
Please tell me that's sarcasm.
-
What is this sarcasm you speak of?
-
did you ever wonder if the customers have to go through that switchboard lol

I talked to a guard at Palmyra, he said they do and it sucks for them too. Amazingly fundament issues for execs making big money not to be able to solve. How many customers/loads do they loose simply because of the wonderful phone system?
