Sounds pretty good, almost too good. Where is the school? how long does it take to earn your cdl at the school? Any out of pocket costs for DOT etc? Do they also provide meals while housed for training? I appreciate any info. Thanks, Tim

Same as any other company. I haven't had a lot oh 00:00 deliveries here lately. I ram last week 3300 miles. Still like the company, trying to train my new DM. Me and my girlfriend are going to start running teams. We will be one of the few teams that both of us has passports. They said we will start running out of Laredo to Canada. More money to run Canada. Still seeing some areas that the company could improve on.

The school is in Ft.Worth TX. It's a 18 day course. You will be put up in dorms meals not included. You will pay for licensing at DOT office. But after you graduate there is nothing taken out of your check. You just have to committ to one year with company. Once on trainers truck you will be paid 455 a week for 6 weeks. Hope this helps it's not a perfect company it's a good place to get your feet wet in the industry.

when i was at transam before the lease deal, only company trucks, most of all loads delivered between 10:00 pm and 5 am, is ffe deliverys more doing day than night, and i would prefer full truckload than that LTL frieght, i did see one ffe prostar truck here in pittsburgh,pa. a few weeks ago on carson street heading to mckeesrocks, also looking into millis transfer all kenworth fleet, work there back in 96, can get home every two weeks, i think ffe is 3 to 4 weeks

    As per my recruiter:

    1) Length of School:
    a) 18 days, or 2 weeks and 4 days (Each class will start on Monday)
    b) 66 hours-Classroom; 44 hours 15 minutes–Range; 29 hours 45 minutes-Street/Road
    and:

    Student Pay
All trainees will be paid $455 per week while on the truck with a trainer once you are an FFE employee. You will be out with a trainer for 6 weeks.

After upgrade to a solo driver:
    .29cpm - for the first 6 months

Here at ffe the have the omni idle(or equivalent by truck make) so it is automatic depending on the temp in your truck. Just think of it like your heat/ac at home. U set it and the engine will turn on and cool as needed.

    biker dave Thanks this.

Hey everyone quick question- how hard is it to take 2 days off 4 months into employment with FFE? I rarely ask for time off but in October both my brothers are getting married and I'm in both weddings. Would FFE understand a time off request that or not? If not, should i delay my start with FFE until November!
