LOL!!!! That parallel parking was the most frustrating manuver I had to learn....remember "KEEP YOUR PASSENGER SIDE TIRES OFF THE LINE OF DEATH!!!!!" it took LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLots of practice for me to finally get it...and I still can't consistantly get it in there strait......just remember step 1 1turn drivers side...step 2 crank the wheel all the way to the passenger side...step 3 2 and a half turns to the drivers side...step 4 1 turn to the pass side step 6 all the way to the drivers side....:biggrin_25520:if you can figure that out...you'll get it in most of the time.....:biggrin_2559:

There are times when chains are needed (for example getting caught off guard and still have several miles to make a safe rest haven), that's why it should be taught even though they may never be used. I'd rather have extra knowledge I never use, than be without knowledge then need it.

    tiger58 Thanks this.

I totally agree with you. The more knowledge you have out here the better off you are. They just teach the chain law (I.e. You have to have then on truck during September thru May up in certain areas) but other than that no they don't teach. But as a trainer I will teach them on how to throw the iron......

That's good Play I never learned so am hoping when I get back out there I can meet up with somebody to show me how to do it correctly. Right now I am tentatively scheduled for orientation on the 26th.

I'm nervous as hell about going back to it. I haven't touched a truck since last March.

Nope, 4 lines in the logbook. Unless they have changed since March of last year.

Here's a question for those of you who work at FFE and who know.

I like what I've read (here and elsewhere) about what FFE is doing to improve their SMS scores. I like what I read about their driving academy and the "cost." I like what I read about where the generally run. And I like what their trucks look like. So here's the question:

I live in Michigan. I have very important family (grandchildren) living in Oklahoma City. What do you think of my chances of seeing them with some regularity and my chances of seeing my home in Michigan with some regularity? I am single and live alone, so I don't need to be here every weekend, but I would like to see it every so often.

    Thoughts?
