Get rid of that discouraged! Try to find work driving a non-CDL vehicle so you can hone your driving skills. If you want to do this, DO this. Show some initiative, bro. You Noo Yawkuhs got lots of that!

 

still searching. calling some companies today and some schools.

 

just got back from my training evaluation, i passed(barely) but a pass is a pass. DPS on monday.

 

I've been accepted for FFE school. Once I get thru the school and on the road solo, how long would long would it take for me to become a trainer to bring my wife in for team driving?

 

did some more 45 degree alley docks this morning. will do some more in the afternoon after class.

kinda down because someone i started class with was sent home yesterday after failing 3 driver evaluations. One of the hardest things you will encounter here is watching people go home, especially on the 12th day. you're going to meet alot of people here, and make alot of friends, and it kinda cuts into you when you realize they won't be graduating along side of you.

kinda also puts you on notice that if we don't pass our DPS behind the wheel test by the third try, we will be riding the bus home too.

every morning I pray for three things: Please let me improve my skill today over yesterday, please don't let me damage the equipment, and please don't let me hurt/ kill anyone.

 

Right you are! You get no extra credit for anything above the "passed" line!

 

A wise old flight instructor of mine long ago when I was a flight student said, "You don't know enough yet to kill someone. Pay attention to the small things and one day you will know enough. THEN worry about killing someone."

I heard that one as well, on the day of my long XC solo flight. I am in talks with FFe right now, and hope that I fly up on the 28th. Will they pick you up from Love Field, or should I bring cab fare?

Anyways is the dorm single, double or barracks occupancy? I have to go though 14 days to get back in the saddle. I really hope the 6 weks with a trainer is only a base guideline.

So anyways, I plan to bring my camera and laptop. (Rebel XT SLR) Or should I leave that that the house?

 

There are ten single dorms located upstairs, the rest of the dorms hold 2,3 or even 4 students. All dorm rooms lock and you are issued a key. only other person with access to your room is the cleaning service.

At this time there is no company provided shuttle service from any transportation hub, this may change in the future. Plan to make your own arrangements to get to the hotel or academy and keep your receipt, as FFE will reimburse the cost of a taxi.
