If I go to the academy to get my cdl and later I get "weeded" out. How much would that cost me? Just looking at a worse case scenario.

No it will not you have to graduate the a academy. We had a few in my class that quite before grad. And the same question was asked. The company told them that they wouldn't be charged and could re-apply in 6 months.

I am the original poster for this thread. I will keep updating this site on my progress with company. As for you saying there is slot of negative stuff about FFE, there's alot about every trucking company out there. It just where you fit in. Come back in 6 months and see. Good luck to you as well.

We got the truck out of the shop on Thrusday for hub seal leaking. Got load going to Loveland CO. Good miles just to get us off yard. Thrusday I drove 580 miles that's plenty for me a day. Got to Limon had to shut down due to wind being gusting around 75 mph. We only had 11000lbs in box. Next morning I got up got to Loveland, which was drop and hook. We got dispatch to go to MD with a drop then on to NJ for two drops then hold on wait for it. Our final drop is HUNTS POINT NY. Ya FFE does NY. Any way my personal miles for 5 days 2575. So if say you can't get miles in a 63mph truck your wrong. You just have to run steady not sitting on yard or in truck stop complaining about have a 63 mph truck. Good week so far. No complaints as of yet. I don't mind NY ran it before with other company. Trainer still letting me run the truck solo.

Training at the Academy is 18 days. Then orientation is 3 days. Depending on your experience how ling you stay out with trainer but with no experience 6 weeks. You get trainer after orientation it depends how many trainers are coming to yard but they will get you out as quick as possible. You will get 1st check 1 week after you get on trainer truck. All they take out is taxes nothing else.

    lionheart0901 Thanks this.
