Well, i think this post was uncalled for. I was looking forward to meeting you since your post was what got me started. We were excited to be called upon by the company, and I am sure if they thought we couldnt do the job, we wouldnt be here, much less hauling swinging meat across country.
Being called dumb is retarted. We took our time, drove safe, and delivered our orders days early. So, what ego you talking about? The fact we are excited our company has faith in us? The fact we tested high? To be challenged to do something we never trained for, and did it?
To be proud is not a bad thing. It is motivating us to do better.
We did get delayed at the meat plant for 7 hours, but other than that? The truck hasnt stopped moving, outside of fuel and changeovers.

They are phasing it out as none want to run it. For us, it was a new experience. Yea, it sucks as you have to take it super easy, but open road is still wide open.

You took the post the wrong way. The Dumb and DUMMER thing. Is what the industry calls to newbies running a truck together, not calling you dumb at all. Hell I ran dumb and dummer before myself HATED IT. Now as for them letting you guys haul swinging meat is just plan crazy if you have never been trained on it. I thought FFE policy is you have to be trained on that, but who am I to think that. The EGO I am talking about you will find out sooner or later. Its not that I am dishing on you guys but don't let the company push you into something like hauling se
Swinging meat if you never done it before, very dangerous. Still would like to meet everyone who came from this thread. Please be safe

So far I am very glad I came back to FFE, the trainers are much more professional, and I love that Sal is now the one who does the road tests, although I can tell you some rookies are missing out from his easygoing teaching style. He would take it easy on you, but put you in some VERY difficult backing spots to make you learn.
