I'm starting the academy next Monday... Would love some info on what I should bring. besides clothes and normal shower, laundry, and personal supplies... what should I bring for school and being OTR with a driver trainer?

Bare essentials a weeks worth of clothes, basic bedding, a small tool kit( hammer, wrenches, and pry bar). Remember after the academy you will be a guest in another drivers truck for 6 weeks.

Are the 6 weeks mandatory or is it dependent on the skills of the student? I know some students had been drivers years ago... but it's been too long to consider them "experienced".

My understanding is that all academy drivers are required 6 weeks

The out look is not good. Lonewolf got sent home due to no trucks and there is no time line on when FFE is getting anymore. Freightliner is behind on production to us. Could be first of next year before trucks arrive who knows. Very bad planning on FFE and Freightliner part.

yea i have been seeing this while i have been there for service to my truck. yes there is a little blame for ffe but freightliner SERIOUSLY is droping the ball here. if the rummors are true about the internationals going bye bye soon i really really hope that frienghtliner has this issue fixed by then or there will be one hell of a big problem then. not only o7's comming in but all the internationals comming in will be a mess...
