Oh boy... I start at the Academy next Monday, which would put me on the road solo mid-December. Hope the tractor situation will be resolved by then. I have to assume it will because it would be a disaster for FFE.

Howdy all, I am sitting at home now and do wish those still with FFE the best of luck ( I am technically still with them waiting for a truck). I was not paid any of my time, and seriously doubt I get the sign on I was promised due to not getting a first paycheck (remember orientation is unpaid). Sam told me point blank he is going to be pushing drivers to drive team, those who wouldn't are being sent home. There was a driver at the yard with his wife who because he couldn't run team is being sent home as well.

Freightliner is a large part of the problem, but I want to know why the front office isn't making other arrangements (such as not turning in the 07's until Freightliner can meet their quota). I am happy to say I got to meet a couple of other forum members during my time at the yard, I just wish that circumstances had been different and I would have had to come on here saying something positive about changes made at the company.

I spoke with recruiting this morning about my academy start date next Monday, the issue with tractor assignments to new company drivers, and the issue of pushing team driving. I was told the issue with tractors will be resolved by mid-December and I will not be asked to team. I sure hope so... I'm a solo driver.

I'm planning to stay on the road 3 - 4 months at a time. I don't think FFE would want to lose out on me... I will only require 3- 4 days at home every 3 - 4 months. that would be a bad call on their part.

Perhaps CFI can get you rolling. Best of luck to you, too.
