FFE Sucks ###

thank you for that very insightful post. its good to vent sometimes, glad you got that off your chest.
Trucking, and to be perfectly honest, work of any type sucks ###. You can learn to deal with the crap or you can let it break you down. from your other posts, its obvious you got broke down to the very last compound.
Trucking is probably not for you. Toys R Us is hiring though, maybe they can provide a work environment more suitable to your work ethic.dollarmtn and THE PLAYMAKER Thank this. -
Hi everyone,
Just wanted to say I have been reading your forum and think its great. I too am a former driver back in 99-05 years and left. Now I'm dealing with the task of trying to get back into the industry....it isn't easy.
After reading your posts on this forum though I feel I've made a confident decision in joining the FFE community. I've kept in touch and talked to my recruiter (Tim Goski). I've been scheduled to attend the Academy starting Oct. 20th since I still have my CDL.
I've asked the recruiter about the truck shortage and have been told that this is no longer the case. Wanted to follow up with you guys first hand to see if this is still the case? Once again thanks for all the great info and glad to be apart of something great.

As far as the driver academy goes are there any special things you would recommend at all? I had seen a few post referencing the Pro Tread videos so do they have computers to do these on and will we have free access to them? Would you recommend bringing a laptop? Since meals are not really provided how much money would be sufficient to get me through the academy and first week of driver training?
Also, my training will be spanning probably the majority of the winter and wanted to get any tips on what to bring for this as far as clothing. I know its best to just have basic necessities since there is not much room on the truck but I want to be prepared as much as possible. Plus I'm born and raised Floridian and not much exposure to hard winter weather.
Thanks for any advice -
