Something I've been wanting to ask you experienced guys about. Does FFE do the Pro Tread videos that you have to watch and do the questions after.
Was just wondering about that because I remember having to do a lot of those when I went through school. The recruiter told me I'd be staying up at the Country Inn & Suites and not the dorms which is nice. However, if we have to do those Pro Tread video things I wont have access to the computer lab very often to do them will I? How does all that work anyway.

Well, I finally got the green light. I'll be starting my FFE training on the 31st. I live outside of the recruiting area so it took a little bit of wang-dang-a-wrangling but after a lot of hand wringing and crying like a baby they decided to make an exception in my case. OK, that's not precisely true. I think it had more to do with agreeing to get to TX on my own dime. But hey, whatever works, right? Now I'm all excited like a kid. It'll just be nice to have a #### job again! Anyone else going to be in the 10/31 class? Drop me a note.

I woke up this morning around 3am in Neb freezing my arse off. So, I just bypassed opti idle and set it to run continuous. was nice and cozy then...

 

Ok just finished the FFE App!!!!

What happens next? Do I call them or will they call me? BC I don't have a recruiter I got most of the answers I needed from you wonderful people.

NM I called them, they answered the phone but said they were closed lol. I will call back Monday. To be honest I want to go the first week in DEC. I want to study for my CDL permit and get it and transfer it in Texas when I gt there if they let me.

 

Make sure to bring money to get home,12 cpm and you will be team driving.Don't belive what your hearing about new trucks.They fired everyone making top scale.There are people who post here that have there own best interest at heart not your's.If you really want the true deal talk to a ffe driver that's been there longer than 6 month's and the girlfreind does not work in driver recruiting,That's if you can find one.

To Jimmymac- Yeah I read a post few pages back about 30 something people that were fired. Wasn't sure what happened with that or what caused so many to be fired at one time. Anyway I take what I read with a grain of salt till I see if for my own eyes. That way if the case is true then great if not well then won't be disappointed.

I've drove before in the past back in 99-04 but left because dad fell ill to cancer but I'm trying to get back into the industry again so I don't expect everything to be a bed of roses. Just doing my time to get the experience again. You all have a good one.

 

Yeah, give 'em a call on Monday. It sort of gets the fire lit under the pot if you know what I mean. It seemed to be like they look at a guy that follows up their online app with a phone call as someone who actually cares about getting hired. At least that's the impression they left me with.
