So many drivers already avoid the Pilots, that if they turn the J's into Pilot-clones, they (pilot) will be losing double the business, as drivers will begin to avoid the clones, as well.

The new Pilots, with the brand-new automated shower system? Has anyone noticed....

I stopped using Pilots years ago when they were transitioning to that driver payback card... I went into a Pilot bought fuel only because I needed a shower... The shower coupon was printed on the receipt but they still would not honor it. I had to have a driver payback card... It was a argument then & I still didn't get my shower... So still to this day they haven't gotten another dime out of me.

I'm OK with Pilots, they're not perfect, but actually are my first preference as are Loves. Flying 'J's are too money hungry. First, their pay phones are all owned by 'J', Their fax services/scanner machines, the same. They quit taking Com-Data years ago, you won't see idle-aire at a 'J'. They want to be 100% in control of their facilities. They have one way of doing things and won't budge. Most have only one driveway in and out. All the restaurants are identical. Even the closure of restrooms to clean them. None have Cat scales, it's their own brand. True, they built over 200 new facilities over the last 15 years, but still, they are in Bankruptcy. You would think a truckstop is a goldmine, what with all the fuel they sell and 4 wheelers stopping there to buy those high priced sodas and candy bars. They have a minimal staff on duty, getting paid $6 an hour, with a $30k a year manager on duty. The 'J',s have their own deli and pizza menus, no franchise fees for a Wendys/Subway etc. So, what happened? What does Pilot know that the hook don't?

PART 2:
SHOWERING TIPS:
What i would suggest is to wash your butt and crotch area first; In this way all the funky bacteria will fall on to the floor and maybe your feet which is ok because you haven't washed your feet yet.
Then immediately after wash your hands thouroughly---this means scrubbing for at least 30 seconds. Also, only use antibacterial soap. More on this later.
Then you can wash everywhere else, but on your feet or legs for obviously reasons scrub for at least 30 seconds. -
Rip Griffin got bought out by T/A a few years back.
-
PART 2 CONTINUED:
Also, i would like to suggest using a scrub brush especially for the back; My back was very itchy all the time, but recently i decided to try a scrub brush----i surmised that i was washing back there good enough and that's why it was itching.
So, i tried the brush and no more itching! -
i said tip#1 and the other tip regarding using a scrub brush.

People actually use the towels in the truckstops? I always brought my own washrags and bath towel and just used the towel in their for something to stand on. An I always wore my rubber flip flops and never touched the walls in the shower. Ive seen some of the mop buckets these janitors use to clean the showers. Nice black "clean" water lol.
