When I started six years ago, I was extra board until I signed up for a 5/2-5/3 program. Transferred after my year to a DC where I was extra for almost a year when I got an assigned 5/2 truck. A little over six months ago I transferred closer to home and will be getting a 5/2 assigned truck next week. I'm in the Midwest.

Then again, I'm not with walmart, but was thinking of getting on.....I just want my satellite radio is only thing I need. Do they have cameras on you while on break...or you good to cover?
-
No driver facing cameras as of now. There are opportunities to have an assigned truck, so slipseating is not universal

I'm not buying some of these posters claims of making 100K per year at Walmart. Maybe half of that, or less, would be more realistic.

mushroom1464 and dwells40 Thank this.

To earn what you are claiming, you would need to make a dollar a mile. The so-called accessorial pay isn't that much.

This weeks paycheck, my pay is a little over .88 cpm, or if you break it down per hour (factoring in that so-called accessory pay), $33.49 per hour.Lonesome, mushroom1464 and slim6596 Thank this. -
Buddy of mine drives for Walmart out of the Dallas area~thought he was blowing smoke about how much he made, a tad over 100k saw the stubs with my own eyes granted he’s been there 18 years

I would say 78-82 is easy money first year. Work hard and extend and I don’t see why 90 can’t be hit. After you max out in 5 years you’ll easily make 90-105k(extended, work hard, bonuses)....I think doubles driver in New York we’re making 113k+ before they got rid of that program. the real question is what were the old school drivers making. I’m talking the 25-30+ year drivers who I was told had no “cap” on their raises up until a certain point. Maybe that’s rumors, or maybe that’s part of the reason they got pushed out?
foggy Thanks this.
