Looking at the rates most lease operators are running at, or how high their payments are. It leaves no doubt that these are the people pulling this industry into the ground.

 

Question ... do you know what the national average rpm is for dry van?

 

Well now that would hinge on several possibilities:
1. Standard or auto shift transmission?
2. If standard, what configuration...9, 10, 13, 15, or 18 speed....(could get real technical and ask for gearing)?
3. Experienced or rookie driver?
4. O/O, L/O, or company driver?
5. Governed or wide open?
6. Male or female....and age?
7. National origin?
8. Sexual preference? (if transgendered, which way(?)....i.e. got balls or the other way?

THERE ARE FAR TOO MANY DISTRACTIONS TO GET A SOLID, ACCURATE AVERAGE!

Haven't looked in the past few months, what are we at?

When you have no skin in the game, run for low pay, and have high operating costs you have to take what you can get to keep food on the table.
If you didn't put the effort into making yourself and business as successful as possible, then chances are your running around driving this industry into the ground.

We have drivers who were making 100k a year, and are now becoming lease operators because thats all they can do. What does that tell you about them as a business owner?
