So you can see the math. You can see the company. You can independently call a recruiter to verify fixed costs. The freight rates are average for flatbed. All of that and still you can't believe a L/P can make that money? This is why people such as yourself shouldn't comment on L\P. Even when the proof is there you bury your head in the sand and say "nope I can't hear you."

No I can't see the company...only your words. I know better than to believe a recruiter about anything...their job is to say whatever it takes to get people in the door. What % of L/P is flatbed? I estimate 20-25%, and yes I know, most flatbed leases have a better chance to succeed than dry van which is actually over 50% of the L/P contracts out there.
Now explain to me, as a former L/P operator, and successful with both leases, why I shouldn't comment? Because I can disagree with you and your statements....I don't need to "know" you, I can see you're a promoter and a be-littler.

I tried to and you and the other one decided to insult us. L/P is a bad idea for the driver, a great idea for the companies. Why would they create their own competition? That's it in a nutshell.

    otherhalftw Thanks this.

When does the intelligent conversation begin? After you are done criticizing, without merit, the other posters on this thread?

    joseph1135 Thanks this.

Saw that coming. Make a statement that doesnt fit and you get accused of beibg a recruiter.

Revisting numbers for a company driver....

    4150 miles in 7 days/70 hours.
    7 x .5 = 3.5 hours lost to pre/post trip.

Minimum 4 fuel stops. At .25 hours per = 1 hour.

Two pu/del for the week is another 1 hour assuming you only log 15 min at arrival and nothing for departure.

5.5 hours of lost driving time minimum.

    4150/64.5 = 64.34 mph average.

Yeah im believing those numbers for a 7 day pay period.....

I am a promoter of a good lease. I have no idea how many leases are flatbed versus van. The data doesn't interest me.

The point I am making is simply there are bad leases and there are good leases. There are people that will do extremely well in a lease and people who will do very very badly. Do not lump them into the same category.

If you have been in the business for any length of time you know there are people that would fail within a year even if they were given a free truck and a free trailer. Some people have no business being in business. That is the real problem with L/P.

How exactly did I insult you? I post my numbers and you ask me if I'm a recruiter.
