I was never the guy who ridiculed other people's pronunciation. Between my dyslexia, a tongue that's too big for my mouth, near tone deafness (can't distinguish between a violin and a viola), and the fact I learned most of my vocabulary from reading it's a wonder I can talk at all.

In English class I was the kid who shut the #### up and prayed no one asked me anything.

 

If y’all can make good pastries why can’t y’all make a biscuit?

We use the wrong flour and put yeast in them. Or maybe baking soda instead of yeast? I don't know, but we suck at biscuits. Turnovers, popovers, doughnuts, crullers, bear claws, cakes and pies of all types - Wisco for the win. Biscuits, man I don't know.

 

So is it ..Avenues that run north & south and streets run east & west ?.. or is it the other way around ??.. I forget

 

No yeast. Wife just uses self rising flour, butter milk and butter. Oil the bottom of your pan or they will stick.

 

Those day's the "lesson" was group read aloud - where each kid read one paragraph? I'd be counting kids and paragraphs, figuring out which was mine so I could mentally practice it. Then some ####tard would read three lines of dialog and throw the whole thing off. Or we'd be asked plot questions at the end and I'm all "how the #### should I know what we just read, give me 5 minutes to read the whole thing on my own and I'll answer your ###### questions. If you wanted to ask me questions about the plot, I could have saved us an entire ####ing class period."

The worst was poetry - I can do three digit multiplication and division in my head but ask me how many syllables a word has and I'll start looking for a fire alarm to pull. What do you mean weather and incisor don't rhyme? They both end in R mother ####er!
