You know maybe don't take my advice because I'm Canadian
But I would put what you plead guilty too....not the original charge
Technically you can be charged and have it withdrawn and it will still say what you were charged with....does that mean you have criminal record? No
So why would you put down the charge you never pled guilty too
The plea deal or original charge

They are looking for what you PLED guilty for....should apply any country
You could be charged and judge throws it out ..it will say you were charged....doesn't mean u have a criminal record that's what I'm getting at
Original poster did the right thing. If they know already it should make process easier
Can't accuse someone of what they were charged with and didn't plead guilty too
Its whatever they pled guilty too that is the crimeLast edited: Sep 16, 2017

No I'm not on the sex offender list. So don't put down what they was trying to charge me with. Just put down what I took a plead to

They was trying to convict me on something else but I took a plea deal to disorderly conduct.
-
Ian says they always do that
The deal is to get you on something so they don't have to go to trial or bring witnesses
Ur charge is disorderly conduct....that's allbeasley73 Thanks this. -

I was charged with something once. I plead guilty and they offered a deferred judgement because it was a first offense.
That meant that if I completed the conditions the charges would be dismissed.
It never showed up on my background check.
The applications ask what you have been "convicted" of, not what you have been charged with.
Never lose sight of that distinction.beasley73 Thanks this.
