Parked at the rest area by the weigh station south of dc on 95. Had been shooting to make the other side of baltimore, maybe the flying j in north east, but traffic was getting thicker and i was getting down on hours so i parked to leave around 1am and roll without any traffic.

Could have probably made the rest area below baltimore, but i dont like the bathroom lol. I shouldnt be able to make eye contact with strangers while i do my business lol.

Unload tomorrow, reload same place and head for maine. Deliver most likely friday morning and take the truck for its long overdue service.

I normally reload friday for the following week, but when i asked the boss about how to do that this week he said he will most likely be loading for me... With a brand new trailer. I may get to run the first load. Im somewhat excited even though my current trailer is perfectly fine. I guess it makes sense for me to have the new one though since I AM the OTR division lol

    Just checking in

    Stay safe out there

Smart move to park it before getting to the worst traffic and leave at 1:00 am. I often do that in order to run through a metro area at the speed limit instead of stop and crawl. As long as you make your appointments on time this is the way to go. Always remember you are selling your 70.

Not much to report really. Seems to be a local week so far. Delivered sandy hook, ct this morning. Reload in belcherstown, ma which took forever. Parked at the N Oxford, MA Walmart for the night. 3 stops in the morning towards home then who knows.

Left my truck for service over the weekend. Told the service manager to leave keys in it over the visor as i would be picking up after hours. Caught a ride there sunday and it was locked with no keys. Had to wait 1.5 hours for somebody to get them for me from the shop.

Got my new trailer. 48' manac trailmobile spread. Seems pretty good so far. Asked the boss why it went to me and he replied "because you work hard and you deserve nice things. Now dont #### it up" lol

Wound up loading this one myself, but it was a nice treat. Since the truck was in for service I got to play billy bigrigger. I had my western star day cab back with the 18spd. Man doesnt it feel good to shift gears in a real truck!

Really missing the long run... And its only been 1 day regional lol. I have the itch for long rides. Who knows maybe next week.

Whats everybody else up to today?

    Stay safe out there

Thanks for the update. In the past week I had a slightly oversized load from Sioux Falls, SD to Harrisburg, PA. Then got a load from Kutztown, PA to Belmond, IA. Now on a load from Waterloo, IA going to Irving, TX Wednesday. Safe travels!

I’m on my last day of my first 7 at the new job. I’ve put in 84 hours. I’m ready for the three days off I have coming. Not to mention this was all with a trainer. It’s been good but I’m ready to start on my own on Friday, that’s for sure. My work week will be Friday thru Tuesday with a sixth day as an option. 10-12 hr days typically.

Most of the fleet is w900s 550hp with 18 spds. That’s been a learning curve but man doesn’t it feel good. We overflow all the tanks so we are just over 100k but these trucks drive so #### nice you don’t really notice it.

So far I’m loving the gig. I won’t touch a highway at this job. Most days I start in Farmington, run up to Dallas plantation, down to Hollis, out to Fryeburg, up to Poland, then back to farmington. It’s one big loop. Plus unloading is easy as hell and takes about 20 minutes if all goes right.

Hope everyone is enjoying themselves and staying shiny side up

Been staying mostly local all week. After the 1st run to ct it has all been within the state. Hurts the check a little doing the lower paying runs, but I'll probably be back to the usual soon. Oh well lol

Not getting home lol. Staying at a truck stop about 100 miles north of home most of the week. At least the food is good here and parking is plentiful lol
