Yesterday went smooth as silk. Got to my delivery with 20 minutes to spare on my 11. Parked at Walmart 3 miles away for the night. My brother lives right down the road so he picked me up to visit and have a free shower. All in all a good day.
This morning. Woke up, got dressed, stepped out of the truck to do a pretrip, go to get back in... Doors locked. I have no spare key (my own fault). I was very lucky I had my phone in my pocket, so I Googled a local towing company and threw the guy 100 bucks to get me in. He got there in 15 minutes (impressive at 330am) and got me right in. Sucks I had to cough up 100, but I can't complain since it was all my own fault lol.
Call this a top notch review for skyline towing in Pittsfield mass though.
Now I'm.on my 30 in Newport Maine. Gotta run about 3 hours north to load, turn back and head home. I'm gaining

How's everybody doing?
I've been working short weeks for the holidays. Took the little one for a trip on New year's Eve because the boss offered a short run... That turned into a bit of a poor start with frozen trailer brakes and other ice related issues, but she had a blast either way.
Got my new truck yesterday which I'm looking forward to putting through it's paces. Headed to Baltimore leaving tomorrow morning, so we will see how it goes.
2019 cascadia xt 60" mid roof single bunk. 506hp 1750lb ft dd15 with the dt12, heavy rears with full locks, no fairings or anything. Factory inverter included. It's no longer hood 18speed but it's a big jump over the international I had been running. Only pulled a single load so far, 83k gross from the mill to our yard and it went smooth. I like it
Also went by Freightliner and had them undo Ryder's "denutting"... Enabled manual and performance modes, disabled idle shutdown, disabled progressive shifting, etc. Made a world of difference.
Also bought a microwave, which should pay for itself in like 2 weeks lol
Now let's see how she does on a trip to Baltimore lol.
Hope everybody is good and enjoyed the holidays etc.
More to come...eventually lolHighway Sailor, Truckermania, Farmerbob1 and 2 others Thank this. -
Doing well. My 93 year old Grandmother died December 23rd. She lived in North Carolina. Wonderful lady, now with Jesus. I went to her funeral. Back out on the road with a trip to one of our regular customers in Forest, Virginia. Started out yesterday in Watertown, SD. Currently in Morton, IL. Found a nice little Ambest truck stop off I-74 exit 102. Hope to stop in Beckley, WV tonight at that service center on the WV turnpike tonight. Heading out in less than an hour Lord willing. Hope everyone has a great day!
