You make a valid point, sometimes ones greatest fear is the unknown. "What I don't know, I don't know", GWB.

One can usually figure out and make a decision on what to do, when one knows where he stands, but alas, the unknown....

Also, there is far more “political” type stuff in this thread than there was scooters.

You can stand or die on principle. Or you can learn history when we defaulted before. Or you can decide what YOU can do and cannot do and work with that. I can solve problems if i see it coming. What I hate is not being able to define a problem until it's too late. If the problem is big enough its over my pay grade and I don't worry about it.

The one issue though. We do like our freedoms. Being able to go out and acquire from a business by appt or drive through or perhaps dealing quietly with restrictions in a big store or whatever is nice compared to what my friends and family back home are enduring.

I have said over and over that stories based on the history as passed down by family can point a way to one possible future. And I like stories either fiction or non fiction fun and games. (Lunch counter etc.) But not always.

To the unknown I say this. Lets get going. We find out come the morning after the night run.

I’m doing ok financially. My children are good kids. They both work and go to college, and the both work hard .
However , I was lucky . I decided to build my own business, because my children and wife were healthy and they did not need medicación or check ups once per week. So, I did not need medical insurance .
But there are people who are not lucky like myself. They don’t have a choice to pick or choose where they work .
There are people who live in little towns and there are not many opportunities.
Chinatown, we are in the “greatest country in the world” .... is ok for you to exist business that don’t offer benefits or health insurance ??? So , what you saying is if you have the money to build your business , take advantage of your employees needs ???
No one blames rich people for having money , but, I’ll bet you 1 dollar that if you open up your business and you do the right thing , you will not be Jeff besos or buffet or bill gates .

I suppose it would not be too difficult to rent warehouse space, put in dance poles and hire fillies to twirl on that for a percentage every night to keep the foals occupied.

But I digress. Everything right now in some areas are anti business in appearances.

Yes, but only if the warehouse space is free and the colts enter for free. Oh yeah, also, and the electricity and lighting is provided free...

Its so infuriating what's going on right under our noses. The feds are not even hiding it... bailing out the banks and the trillion dollar a day market repos... and we the people are begging for scraps... what is it? $500 billion stimulus checks.... congress doesn't have the right to lend and borrow but its happening... they, nor the judiciary system, nor the people seem to care what's happening. We're going full socialism imo. And was it Pelosi who introduced digital wallets? Giving the government/banks full authority over what we can and cannot buy... monitoring everything we do? Its going to happen.
