Like most of the stories on here you getting one (and if his vitriolic responses on here are a clue) hostile view of that situation.I can envision a conversation when they found out he was getting out(Did they know the precise time of his release to have a car and driver waiting for him) a DM scrambling to get a rental and a driver to get him home with him telling them" Screw you I want it done now!"
His Dm could very much wanted to help. Should he/she have just had another driving standing there waiting on his beck and call?Maybe shut down the multi-million dollar company until they ensured his needs were met? He'll if they had sent a driver to get the truck before he was released so he could be given a rental to go home you people would be screaming they just dumped him.
His other complaints lead me to the opinion he should leave the industry. What does it matter where you deliver. Yes door hinges and the mechanics time are expensive. If you fail to receive compensation for breakdown that is on you to find a company that pays it.
They would rather avoid tolls if time permits. Oh the horror, ask any O/O if they run tolls when they have time to go around the profitable ones will answer yes.
Bubba go find a prison guard job that attitude will fit right in inside barbed wire fences.
The Roehl delusional, illusion.

Screw the big companies. Prime, Werner, roehl.....all just a system to underpay drivers while they stay in the black. 32cpm is a joke. Just do your time and find a small company who knows your name and treats you right.

There is a lot of truth in what Tazz says. I am an o/o with Roehl and I don't pay tolls out of my pocket, sometimes I don't even pay tolls out of their pocket. We are only hearing one side of the story and the dispatcher makes, or breaks an entire company with a driver. Marge was really great and I miss her, JT was alright and was well trained so I would give him a B. Kristen is new and scared of her shadow. In addition she is another that thinks everything is all about her. She is now on the o/o board so it isn't a good fit so far. Maybe she will improve over time.
For all their faults as a company they came through for me with two unexpected deaths in my wife's family. They were also safety and health first when I hit my head and another time I had back spasms. I should say that when I fell things did go black for a moment. When I got back to my feet the idiots on the dock just asked "Ya O.K.?" Even when I said no they just walked away. You would think they would have wanted to protect themselves from possible liability.Lonesome Thanks this. -

So far the only hicup i had was with trainer issues. But im finding out that was normal and other companies are way worse. I had the miss fortune of running over a curb and caught a bolder that bent the rim and unseated the tire beed. Tire was fine rim was bent called it in got a new rim same tire talked to safety that was it. It was my third week out honest mistake, happened at a flying J in virgina they had those dag on rocks everywhere ya'll know what im talking about to keep you off the grass i think. Always on time follow routing and communicate throughthe QC as much as possiable (cya) so far they have delivered on everything they have said. I think there is more to the op story than meets the eye

Just don't get sick. I have a pre hire with Roehl but after reading this thread and a few more I am reluctant. Roehl doesn't even trust their drivers. They have cameras in the trucks. Micro managers.
-
As far as micro managing, it depends on who your dispatcher is. Mine sends me loads and leaves me alone. My last dispatcher called me every day asking me questions and stuff. So it varies.
You discredit a company from a few bad posts yet you have no experience working there. I'll admit I discredit Werner and have no experience with them but there's a difference between a handful of people having problems at roehl versus hundreds having problems with xyz company.
