But do you know what the cook is doing in the kitchen???? -
But regarding the Flying Hook. I have stopped going to them overall with the exception of a few: Albuquerque, Ogden, Lake Station and Barstow. And I try to make my stay at Barstow as short as possible. Reasons: The food usually was awful, served cold or not cooked right; most of the J's have dark parking lots and therefore have riff-raff hanging around; I'm trying to remember which J had a parking area that actually made sense..............Albuquerque, maybe..... but usually you have to blindside back into a tight spot with trucks sticking out into the alley on the other side....;(back to the list) the showers leak or are old and/or dirty; in the driver lounges you have a choice between the chair that smells like a mule or the one the last guy peed in; the paper products are usually out in the bathrooms....
I stopped at the J in Dodge City. Ordered a steak. Do ya' think they should know how to cook steak in Dodge City? I would hope they would in that famous cow town. I ordered a well-done sirloin and got Steak Tartare. (For those unfamiliar with French cuisine, that's French for "Cut it off the cow and slap it on a plate with some garnish.") I returned it to be cooked and received one that still bled when poked. The wait staff was rude and difficult to nail down for more than two seconds, so I gave up and ate the edges of the steak. When the waitress finally asked me how it was (between calls and texts on her phone) she noticed I had not eaten the middle. She asked why. I merely raised an eyebrow, poked the steak with my fork and said, "Mooooooo...."
My overall experience with Flying J has not been too positive. While I can think of a lot better choices than Denny's, there are some healthy choices on their menu. And just about anything will be an improvement over what I have seen thus far. -

also anybody that uses that nasty farmers brothers coffee -
Frankly truckers cry worst than kids anyway.. All this is why I stay away from T/A's, Pilot's and flying J's generally I found most of them dirty by my standards, I refuse to use there showers there just nasty. Our terminal has a driver shower so does several of our customers. add that to the fact I criss cross past or near the house I can normally do without them. I have been know to rent a room a Whiskey Pete's.
We fuel at Pacific Pride, CFM and also have a unused Pilot Card....Gereke Thanks this. -

One time i went to a dunkin donuts and got a dozen donuts...I was gonna give them to my dispatchers and load planner, however...they didnt make it to the office.i ate them all. I felt soo bad...haha.
