netted six figures myself this year, in April my wife is opening a birth center in Denton Tx…that should net us 10k profit & her business partner 10k after ALL expenses/taxes. Hardest thing in the financial world is getting your first 100k, after that 100k to 1m is much more realistic feeling. By September with both our incomes (truck, stocks, birth center) we should be at 35-40k a month NET.
The six-figure club.

This was actually my first year ever making six figures on my own. The wife and I have been comfortably over 150k per year combined for over a decade now, but neither of us had done 100k on our own. 90s, never 100.

I hit ### this year, but I also worked alot of hours, that included a $1k covid bonus. 1st time for me breaking 6 figures, also had over $3k in per diem not included.
I just got a raise though this is the 1st raise in 2 years. So I should do even better next year.
I do get to take my work truck home 50-70% of the time so that saves me alot on gas and wear and tear on my personal vehicle. I also get a company paid for cell phone with unlimited data, and I get a new phone every 2 years that I get to pick. My current truck is a 21 White Volvo that I got to spec myself. The only thing that they wouldn't budge on was the auto transmission, but the I-shift is ok so not as much as a disappointment.
The bad, my family health insurance is over $750 a month and I only get 2 weeks vacation and no sick time even though I have been with the company almost 20 years. I have no set start time, I drive into the NY metro alot, and I push around carts that can weigh as much as 1500 lbs and lift gate them off. I also have to deliver to random houses and job sites.
So how am I doing?Last edited by a moderator: Aug 12, 2022
