Be sure you get authorization before doing any work on that truck. I've seen guys get fired when they screwed something up by DIY work.

Also, get some money for doing the mechanic work. Their alternative is to send a mobile mechanic out. You're saving them money at the expense of your time and knowledge. Get paid. This is a business.

Ain't you just a ray of sunshine? For Chrissakes bud, we all started somewhere, most likely as nervous as a long tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs, might I add. (At least I know I was!). Good luck Sheriff, take it slow and careful, and you should be fine.:biggrin_25525:

Did I say anything about being adequately trained? If you take the time to read every post that I've made, you will not find one instance where I claimed to be adequately trained. Your willingness to get on a post and condemn so quickly might lead one to believe you are normally grumpy or possibly don't like new guys. No doubt you were born in the driver seat with a shifter in your hand. The rest of us have to start someplace and this is it for me. I'm trying to make a go of this and perhaps help those behind me along the way. If you don't like it, don't read it.

Have a very Happy New Year.

Thank you to everyone for the encouraging words. At the end of the day I made to a truck stop without causing any wrecks or going over my hours. Now if I can just figure out the PIN for my Comdata card I'll be in good shape..lol

Bigdubber, Lonesome and goblue Thank this.

normally the Pin is the last 4 of your social security #. Good luck with the truck might run into you tomorrow headed that way also.
