Congrats on finally getting home Sheriff. Reading your posts we missed each other by a couple of days at the Sumner terminal. I was there today dropping off my sleeping bag and pillow. Orientation is this Tuesday there.

I forgot and I'm too lazy to go digging but I wanted to ask, how many hours driving time a week did you get during your training with your mentor? Was it the same each week?

LOL....I'm glad I'm not the only one confused. What are you talking about. DocWatson can fill you in on the sleep test. I know he's gone through it. As for raises..please expand so I can figure out what you are talking about.

It seems like it was so long ago. I do remember maxing out my driving time almost every week. Every time we had to shut down, it was because I had run out of hours. I typically tried to drive 10hrs a day.

While on my mentors truck, we tried to keep on duty time to 8 hours and 45 minutes a day. We both reset one time and that wasn't because we had to.

    DocWatson Thanks this.

I take that back. The first week, he ran me hard to get past my first 50 then let me reset. After that we started teaming at less than 9 hours a day.

    DocWatson Thanks this.

My mentor really had us teaming after day one. He would sleep in the front seat most of the time I was driving. There were times when he would head to the bunk but, it was rare. When it was his turn to drive he would drive for awhile and then pull over and sleep. This would go on all night long or until it was time for me to drive. This was during the first week. After that he would sleep in the bunk when I drove and do the same drive, sleep rotation when he drove.

    DocWatson Thanks this.
