January Febuary and March is the worse time for miles on the road, Ive seen that every year with any company I pulled for. Everyone broke from Christmas shopping and they waiting for their tax returns. You will see miles start going up as the refund checks come in.

That's what I thought as well. The only time I've ever done a Company advance was for DEF. I did it because that's the way my mentor did it. I was charged a fee to get the money so I learned my lesson. No more advances. Swift said I shouldn't have been charged a fee. Just because they say so doesn't mean it didn't happen.

Unfortunately, there are some drivers out there dumb enough to think they're cheating the company by doing that. Thanks for the laugh!

I found out today that the bosselmans/pilot/j at ex 312 on i80 in nebraska has carpet remnants as well. They are $1.99 and are about 16"x26" or so. Tons of it. Also, the edges are finished. They are the samples you flip thru at home improvememt stores. I got me some finally! Home sweet home. Lol best $4 I've spent all year!

In my new book "Ramen Noodles & road Kill" we wonder why we chose to stray away from home.

I made it to Boise City, OK. Going over the Continental Divide was a bit dicey today, but not bad. I would like to do it again in the summer just to see the scenery.

I saw something today that made me wonder if anyone talks about it.

I was heading in to Canon City, CO and there was a Maroon PB pulling a load of rock ahead of me. At some point I was able to pass him on a hill. I was headed into town and in the far right lane. I could see him in the inside lane about 3 truck lengths behind me. I could see a traffic light ahead and since there was a large space between the PB and myself I signaled and pulled in. I looked in my left mirror and saw him swerve sharply and I wondered what that was about because I was no where near him. He then gets on the CB and says something derogatory, however it was difficult to say who it was for as another truck pulled up to my right. We are now stopped in traffic at the light. I see this guy running up to the truck in the outside lane. He try's to open the drivers door and is yelling at the driver. The driver opened the door. The guy on the street was the passenger from the PB and it was obvious he was on the fight. He kept yelling at the driver and tried to climb up the steps a couple of times. Finally the driver stuck his foot out like he was going to kick the guy and when the attacker leaned back the driver shut the door and locked it. The argument continued and soon the attacker climbed the side of the truck and was punching the driver as he was driving down the street. I wonder just how stupid both of these guys are?

Never open your door to anyone especially if there is any indication they want to cause you harm. In this case the indicators were obvious. Keep your door locked and your window rolled up. The worst they can do is break out your window. Now, if by chance you were dumb enough to have your window down, as soon as you see someone approaching your truck, unbuckle your seat belt and raise the arm rest. You may need to retreat in towards your cab, even if it's just to lean over to avoid being punched. Have a plan in case this happens to you. It's a long way down to the pavement from the window should you have to let go because your eyes got poked out. How dumb do you have to be to run up to a truck and try and climb in the cab. He's very lucky he didn't take two in the chest or get an ink pen shoved into his eye or throat. There are a million and one things both guys could have done differently.

    That's it for today.

And that right there was one reason on my Classic I had the driver's step and mirror bracket wired to my battery, one tap of the the floor mounted switch and the truck tazzed them. These days you got no idea what somebody gonna try to do.
