Ok I left NC and ran into snow storm just as I entered Ohio. I pulled to a T/A 10 miles east of indiana with 4 minutes to spare on my 11. I had 7 Hours to spare to make drop, but the storm and my planner ended that. I ran flat out for 8 hrs just to be an 1hr late. Pickup a new load going 4.5 hours away, however by time I dropped the trailer I brought and got the new one I had 2 hours left to go. Tough to make a 0530 appt when you have to sit 10 hours and 10 runs out at 4 am.
So I sat and sat and sat till the truckks who made there appointment got unloaded first. Nevermind that this punishment cut into my 14hrs and I another pickup.
So here I sit in a Walmart lot loaded waiting out another 10. Least I got load up with food. Tomorrow I head off to NYC (Maspeth). This ought to be fun.

Ok future truckers.. something else to consider before going into this career path.. it is a real pain juggling time so you stay legal. Nobody cares about your time except you and DOT. Had receiver tell me my bills were wrong and he needed to straighten them out. Which meant his fat butt didn't start working till I told him if I didn't get out of here soon me and my truck were spending 10 hours in his dock.
So now I am parked for 10 early so I can leave at 5am to make sure I get to my next drop on time.
Dinne is cooking. First meal cooked in my truck. Pork chop with roasted potatos. Smelling good in hereNoCoCraig Thanks this. -

I suggest you buy the disposible pans to us in it, but buy them at walmart. I bought 9 at walmart for what 3 cost at the TS. -
Well I made it in and out of Queens in one piece, it was a nightmare.
4 wheelers were zipping around behind me as I was backing into my dock. Security did help me hit the door, but didn't stop the cars. Ran into my first beligerant 4wheeler. I was trying to make a tight turn and he refused to get out of my way. As he was yelling what I am sure weere profanities I just set my brakes and sat back.. he moved.
Now I sit at the T/A on NJ I-80 exit 4 waiting on my next load.
Cooking some hash browns, eggs and cheese with mushrooms and onions..Lady K Thanks this. -
Only problem with cooking that in the truck is that all your clean underwear will smell like pork chops and roasted potatoes! Puts a little flavor in your dirty underwear though!
Your doing great man! Keep it up!
