That must be nice to have a 'preset' - to know you have a load waiting for when you get done. Almost like guarenteed miles. It would be better/nice to have one waiting right?

Sounds like you are having a blast! I guess they are really keeping you guys moving huh? Qualcomm is pretty easy right? After awhile you will probably hate hearing the thing going off all the time. Especially for like dumb messages. "drivers don't forget to stop in at the main terminal for a free hot dog and safety meeting!" (lol) You get a ton of those a day! Keep it rolling, drive safe man. Don't forget your earplugs!

Haven't seen a free hog message yet.. though the safety stuff keeps coming in.

Our drop and hook turned into a live unload scheduled for Monday evening. My trainer is getting the truck washed in hopes the qualcomm will beep. Hahaha

This would not be one of those weeks to buy a dvd player, but on the brightside I am getting a 34 hour reset. Hahaa

Yes I really am enjoying this.. more miles would be nice, but truthfully I. Haven't been this content in years.

While I'm waiting out a month to start school, wondering if I'm doing the right thing after reading a lot of horror stories, it's nice to hear a few positive words now and then.

    Good luck, and keep posting!

Depends on the trainer, mainly it's like having a one on one instructor you live witb 24/7. In some ways it's like a marriage. Compromise is key on both sides.

Personality clashes happen, and you deal with it. You aren't going to be with them forever; however if you have a good trainer, what they train you can be the difference between making it out here or failing.

Obviously you want a trainer that won't teach you to fail. Just remember it's his/her truck. Get to know what is ok and not ok.

I am not a big hockey fan, he is. I endure the hockey and when I am driving he puts the radio on country. I just tune out the hockey games.

Today both of us were listening to two different NFL games. He just kept switching games every few minutes..

Do I get frustrated with him - yes I do, but I deal with it and move on.

Now admittedly if I had TruckerDragon's trainer my way of dealing with it might have got me fired, but I would given his nose a new perspective.. :biggrin_25523:
