Ok we got rid of the load fro hell and did a re-charge drop in CA. Got to spend the night in Central Fontana lot. Fun..
Now we are waiting on the first part of a two stop pick up and off to the snow belt.
I get to drive out of here fun and joy..
Any rate things are still going well. -

There is the best mexican restaurant near the Fontana terminal. When you get off the exit and are coming down the bridge instead of making a left turn there just up in front of you is La Chiquita's. It's next door to the circle K. Usually there is room across the street for two big rigs. If not you can drop your trailer at the terminal and bobtail up there. Three Sisters truck stop is about a block up on the right. You can park there and walk. Whatever you do never stay the night at Three Sisters! Other than that don't venture far from the terminal in Fontana. Hopefully you will never have to go to the KW dealer or Volvo shop there. Did you get to see the llama's at the terminal? How did you like the Fontana terminal? A little tight in there isn't it? Beautiful shower rooms too huh? Good luck driving in the snow. Drive safely.

Shower rooms were bigger than than the lot hahahaha
Only thing I didnMt like was the one washer and one dryer. Took almost 2 hours to get my clothes dried out
I will have to check out the resturant when I get make there.chompi Thanks this. -
Day 9: I drove 612 miles yesterday. 47 minutes left on my 11 hours. Went from flagstaff,Az to Amarillo, Tx. Pretty uneventful, but I did see my first lot lizard. Hahahah
Right now we are at a KW dealer getting some work done on the truck and a DOT inspection. Sounds like we are going to be here a few hours. Least the work being done wasn't my fault..
Learning there are some advantags to leasing and some to not leasing.. right now the not leasing is definately winning. I said I would wait a year before I decide. Try to build up some cash and see what the freight is like for a year and how the economy is.
My trainers DM tried to get me home for Christmas, but it meant switching trucks and trainers. I thanked him, but said i'd prefer to stay with my current trainer.
Problem is he lives in MI and I live in NC. -
Flagstaff to Amarillo. That's about a boring drive. Not much to see. Keep up the good work!

Boring is I-70 through kansas. Some pretty country on I-40
Once we leave the KW dealer I get to drive to St. Louis. After we drop this trailer it personal hygene time. Laundry and stuff. After that I get to sleep in the top bunk ohh joy....
Least I finally got some iced tea.. Going through withdrawals. Got to figure out a way to make my own out here.. -
Whadda you mean boring?! What about the great meteor canyon? C'mon Gears you don't listen to the meteor canyon radio station when you drive by? Plus what about all that petrified wood you can look at while driving. I think I know exactly how many pieces there are from border to border along 40.

Hey Celtic, you will probably be shooting up I-44 to St. Louis. There are a ton of little mom and pop truck stops on the way. When you are jogging through OK.City use caution, some of the ramps and turns are a little tighter than the posted speeds. Nothing too bad but if the weathers crappy it can sneak up on you. Once you hit the toll it's just a hilly up and down ride. It's a fun road if you are speed restricted because the speed limit is 75mph and you can do a lot of coasting. Have fun, drive safe, keep us posted.
The Challenger Thanks this.
