I would be careful coasting too much, a lot of the bigger companies have a problem with coasting too much above the governor speed. 10 over (which would be 75) is grounds for instant termination at Con-Way from what I've heard, no clue about Central though.

My trainer drove through OK City while I slepted my hours back. We are in Tulsa now waiting on the KW dealer to work on this truck.
The S-Cam brackets need to be fixed and the truck needs to get it't DOT physical. Hahah -
Get the wallet out! Celtic you probably will be buying dinner after he pays for a KW dealer DOT inspection! I can't believe he didn' t have to make an appointment to get in there!

I was so tired I snapped at my trainer when he told me I should be doing something I was already doing bzcking into a space in a TS. Luckily he realized I just need some alone time and left me to do my own thing.. which was feeding my emotions to the tune of $15.00 worth of burger and fries. Hahahaha -
Yeah that stretch between LA and Needles is a long, boring trek! 55mph all the way too! Be careful in CA. They will bust you for 56 in a 55! Pay extra attention on the Grapevine! I think that is where most truck drivers get their tickets!

$112 for the inspection... -
Sounds like you are on the ball! Way to go man! It's little things like that, that make you money. You could have waited all day (or two or three) waiting to get into a dealership. A lot of times getting a dealership means a hotel stay. Sometimes it's a nice break though. Nice thinkin ahead! I guess the trainer should be buying dinner!

Holed up in St. Louis. Short day driving, but my shifting is getting better everyday. Most times I am already in motion to do something my trainer wants to make sure I am doing. He keeps asking why I downshift all the gears stopping at stop signs or lights and I just keep saying "practice"
He's sleeping more as I drive and that is a good thing. He will stop and take naps, but it cuts down on ththe hours we can run.. I feel comfortable enough now to run as a team and just wake him when I am suppose to or have too.
Company rules he has to be awake in construction zones and weigh stations. Not to mention immigration sweeps and the ag stops..
Time to go night night -
Sleep good CWolf. Very encouraged by what you're posting. You're doing a good job...keep it up!
