To answer the question about C R England doing the hair drug test. the answer is yes. I almost went with CR about 2 months ago out of Stuarts Draft, Va on the Target account and I went thru the hair test. After finding out a little more about the account, I decided to back out. Too much of running in and around Washington, DC, don't need all the headaches

but it could be company policy....back in 2002 I took a hair follicle drug test for Dean Foods....we were the dairy department for Albertsons here in Southern California

 

I know this thread is a little old but wanted to throw in my experience. So I was getting ready for trucking school and applying where I could. I've been clean from all the fun stuff for almost 8 months by the way. So I went to CR England and was there for 3 days. On the second day they did the urine and hair test. I passed the urine test and failed the hair. I was sent home the next day. I applied with prime inc. and got approved. I passed their piss test and started to get ready for the trip out to the facility to train with them. I checked the mail at my home and got a letter from the FMCSA stating that I failed my drug test and needed to log into clearinghouse.
So I went on and in fact it said I failed. Then said I needed to get an SAP and start the return to duty process in order to start driving again. and one of the requirments is that your employer or prospective employer sign of on the program so it can be finalized. well being a student and calling every company that takes CDL permit holders, turns out my career would have been over. So after a lot of research and confirming what I found, the only federal mandated test is a urine test. A hair follicle test is performed for the use of the company internally and is never to be given to any employers or federal databases such as clearing house.
I've started a petition on clearing house to have it removed because it shouldn't be there. I just started the request today so I will keep you guys informed once I find out more. But from the looks of it, I should be able to get that off and continue schooling without anything on my record.

When asked for a hair follicle test, tell them you can do them one better….. i can give you a stool sample in a sandwich bag!!
