Parked next to this operation. There is a 8' tall 25' or so long generator "permanently mounted" on a 48' flat.

3 little bitty 3/8" j bolts per side holding it on. Suicide if you ask me.

 

I've seen that kind of securement, but are you sure there's no direct bolts through the deck if it's a permanent fixture?

 

shoot, containers go on a chassis with 4 thru pins not much bigger than that.

And they don't fall off (well if you actually lock into place all 4 pins)

 

I occasionally haul AC units from a place that utilizes those J-Bolts.
